Charming is a Victorian Era Harry Potter roleplay set primarily in the village of Hogsmeade, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the non-canon village of Irvingly. Characters of all classes, both magical and muggle — and even non-human! — are welcome.

My dearest brother I do hope that my letter finds you well and that nothing of a serious nature is happening in the Dragon Restraint Office. I would hate to see you maimed, or worse, killed. Who would possibly oversee our family then?
I shall get right to the point though and not bore you with such frivolities of school life. I have been thinking of what the future could possibly bring. Winter has not said much by way of possible suitors so I must admit I wonder if the women of our family are simply not meant to be wed. I was hoping to get your approval of perhaps playing Quidditch after I have graduated from school. I do think that it would be a wonderful tribute to mother as I would only play if the Harpies would have me.
I am quite pleased to read about your thinking to the future. It’s quite an important matter—but as such, I think it is far more suited to a conversation than to an owl!
I do confess that our sisters’…statuses make me rather reluctant to throw you to the wolves of society just yet, and so I do not think that it could hurt to have you otherwise occupied until at least one of them is settled. You know I have never balked at the notion of you playing quidditch at any level, so I am hardly about to forbid it now. That said, I will stress again that this is, perhaps, something we should discuss face-to-face. Does Gryffindor have any quidditch matches on the horizon? Perhaps I could come up to the castle and we could watch together.

I apologize for writing of such important manners so abruptly. The thoughts have just been on my mind a lot recently and I couldn't help but to put it down on parchment and send it to you.
We do have a Quidditch match coming up on the seventh of next month. We play Ravenclaw. I would love for you to join me at the match! We can discuss these things further while you are here.
I shall ensure that I am able to attend, and shall look forward to it. I do hope that neither you nor your friends shall mind terribly having tedious old me seated with you distracting from whatever it is young girls typically partake in during quidditch matches!

We only partake in watching the game and talking about it. At least, that is what I do. What do you think you could possibly distract from? It is a rather important game after all so long as you don't distract from my view of the game, I imagine it will be just fine.
