As it was a simply horrid day outside, William was quite pleased to be in his office. He was currently reading over reports submitted by a group of Wimbourne Wasps fans that claimed they had been personally targeted by Appleby Arrows fans. It was a well-known fact that supporters of the Applyby team would fire arrows from their wands after an impressive goal. Apparently, a supporter of the visiting Wimbourne squad was struck and killed. This was not the first time something like this had occurred, but the Department had simply looked the other way. "Quidditch is a dangerous game; people are going to be hurt." was their argument, but the Minister had decided enough was enough and requested a formal investigation. The head of the Department had asked William to conduct a study of his own before handing the whole thing over to the Improper Use of Magic Office, which was more or less a way to cover his own bases.

William had obliged however and had just finished drawing up his own report. Adding his signature and the official stamp of the Department, he delivered it to the Improper Use of Magic Office and retreated to the atrium to stretch his legs. He greeted the Security Wizards with a wave as he passed and paused to have a polite conversation with one of the Welcome Witches, before continuing to the large fountain in the middle of the room.

Roderick could care less about quidditch. He had much more important matters to attend to, not only about his upcoming wedding in a couple of weeks, but as well as the rumored loon who had escaped from the hospital. As he was buried in paperwork he had filed away long ago, in search of any clues as to what exactly they could expect the loon to do and where said loon might be, a knock on his door brought a grumpy glance in his direction. His assistant handed him a file and quickly disappeared, afraid of her boss's wrath at being interrupted. She was right to do so. Roderick scanned the file and growled. As if he didn't have enough on his plate! The Magical Games and Sports Department never did what they were supposed to; they were a bunch of boys pretending to be men.

The Department Head stepped out of this office, the file in his hand, and thundered at his assistant, "Who delivered this?" His mood could have matched the storm clouds outside. She was too frightened to meet his gaze and mumbled Keswick's name. Roderick caught the form of the man just as he entered the elevator. Unable to catch it, he had to wait for the next one. Angered even further, when he finally caught sight of the Assistant Head again it was all he could do to not whip out his wand and petrify him. "Keswick," He hissed as he drew near, "What is this rubbish?!" He thrust the file toward him, and shook it for emphasis.
