    Everybody Hurts
    #1

It was one of the usual days which Joss went to the Slums and gave freshly baked cookies to the children. She knew that some cookies wouldn't full their empty stomachs. Joss heart felt such pain when she was seeing children who eat only one cookie just to give the other to their families. Many of them were orphans, like helself. But at least she had food.

A little girl, probably at the age of five came near her holding a bunch of flowers in her hands. Joss gave her some money and bought them all thinking of gifting them to her godmother. She gave the last cookies she had in her basket to the girl and smiled her motherly as she run happily to the other children.

Joss was planning to donate some money to a local orphanage when she was going to marry. She was lucky to live with her godmother and not in that orphanage. The poor children were living awfully and didn't had enough food and clothes.

Brenna ran down the slums alley ways chasing after Herod, her escape artist Ferret. "get back here you little rascal" she yelled running after him. Her Fancy Robes blowing in the breeze she was creating from her running. She hadn't noticed that she was running to fast and she bowled over a little girl selling flowers and and knocked them both down. "UGH! Flith! get out of my way!" she said as she picked herself up, noticing that she now had a hole in her stocking and mud all over her robes.

"OH!!! you are so helping me fix this! my mother will have your hide for touching me!" she yelled loud enough that half of hogsmeade could hear. Looking at her now ruined robes and stomped off to find where her ferret had gone.

Joss was walking back to her house when the sound of a crying children stopped her. She turned around and saw the little girl she bought flowers before some minutes fallen on the road with a young girl shouting at her. The girl's clothes were soacking full of big mud stains on her robe. But under the dirt Joss couldn't recognize the good material. This girl was probably a rich one. That's why she was so upset about her clothes. An usual Slum child is used to dirt so a little more dirt doesn't make a big deal to them.

She walked quickly to the both children. When the crying girl saw her her tears stopped but she still looked at her with big soaking eyes. Joss looked at the other, richer girl." You should be more polite, my lady, you was the one you bump into her" Joss speaked quietly with her sweet calm voice. Rich children are too alazonic sometimes.l

Joss took her wand off and with just one move of her wand the stains disappeared." See, it isn't a big deal" Joss murmured and smiled to the poor girl. The girl gave Joss a happy smile but then her eyes became sad again when she saw that her flowers were pressed by the passers on the cold yet road. This was her food for one weekend.

"and you should treat me with respect!" Brenna said slightly sniffling. " I was looking for herod, my ferret." She said. Brenna truly had no Idea how to interact with people, she was raised up by Nannies and house elfs, Dressed and pampered like a prized french poodle, No one dared to speak down to her, or ever lay a hand on her behind for a paddling.

"Perhaps i was a bit hasty, My sister after all would say "it's only mud, and mud comes out. I just never interacted with the lower classes. my family's the Aberthy's of South End. Old family, don't know how we made our money, but it's enough that i had servants and house elfs chasing after me." She said Reach out for the lower class girl to pull her up. "Here... take this for the flowers. least i can do for ruining them." Brenna said putting a sack containing 50 galleons in the girl's hand. " i was going to buy candy with that, but.. i can always hit up daddy for more, and it's only candy."

Joss smiled when she saw Brenna giving the money to the other girl. " You are such a generous young woman" She murmured to Brenna. Brenna seemed a good girl. Rich people have a lot of tutors and teachers, but they can not learn just one lesson. How to be loyal to others. A child who was raised with nannies which were doing whatever the child wanted could never learn to speak to others like they aren't humans too. Joss felt lucky that her parents weren't that rich. She may had some economical problems right now, but she had enough money to live a pretty good life.

" And you come here? In the Slums?"Joss asked the girl. Rich people hated the Slums. This place was the last place they would ever visit. And Brenna with her words and moves didn't seem like a girl who would happily come here for a walk. Some rude rich boys coem here sometimes to make fun of the children here. Actually the most of the Hogsmeade people lived here. It wasn't such a friendly climat, just like the Wellingtonshire. Joss also find herself lucky to live in the Bartonburg.

Too bad that Wellingtonshire was going to be her new home. Even if she chose her future or not...
