Appearance: A pale woman who appears for all the world an average woman. She has a slim figure, sharp high cheekbones, and stands at 5’5”. She has brown wavy hair, brown almond shaped eyes and speaks with a London-Scottish burr to her words. She is currently 37, and will be turning 38 soon.


History:

• 1846-1857 - Peggy is born to a witch able to claim a proven line of descent from Rowena Ravenclaw and to a widowed muggle tailor who had eight children from a previous marriage. She spent her early years surrounded by children, nieces and nephews. She didn't have any younger siblings herself but was a more then willing carer to others.
  
  
  1858-1865- She recieved her letter when she turned eleven and was already educated to read and write and along with a Hufflepuff boy, Mordecai Grimaldi, who quickly became her best friend she attended Hogwarts for the full seven years. It was a chance mistake one night after graduation that led her to separate herself from the wizarding world and quickly seeking marriage to a finacially secure muggle man far removed from her wizarding life. She found out the mistake she made with Mordecai on her graduation night had left her pregnant and as she knew exactly what her friends reaction would be she ran - for she had no desire to burden his already troubled life with her own presence and their mistake as she calls it.
  
  1865-1875 - The courtship was short and she was married in the summer, quite aware that she was very late with her period. She was blessed in a way however that her husband never suspected when she lied about her due dates and her son came far later than she could've predicted in late March. It became a secret that she intended to take with her to the death. She bore her husband six legitimate daughters and her life was proceeding well until the August of 1875 when her son recieved his Hogwarts letter and she decided to reveal her own origins to her husband with disastrous results. He refused to accept the reality of magic, and she was turned out on the streets and informed that he would continue supporting his children as long as she made no further contact. Ashamed with her life decisions she returned home with the tale of being a widow to be given to all but those she trusted with the reality.
  
  1875-1882 - She went to live with her aging mother after her divorce, and stayed with her until her death the following year. She was with her mother when she discovered that she was pregnant and after her mothers death she went to live with her eldest brother John and found work as a wetnurse and nurse after her daughter was born. The migration of wizarding folk to Hogsmeade in 1877 came as a relief to Margaret and she slowly integrated herself into respectable society as a wetnurse. She prefers to be known as a widowed wetnurse rather than a wetnurse of woman who was divorced for being a witch and it is a secret she keeps. She met Mordecai Grimaldi several times afterwards and is thankful for his presence and whilst he knows of her divorce he knows not of her other secrets - like the fact her only son is his.
  
  1882-1883- She had been working as a wetnurse for a vampiric woman she later discovered was an ancestor for quite some time when the Hogsmeade Trail began and her name was drawn from the list. She successfully completed the trial with few hardships and gained both the land and the money that the reward entailed however unfortuneately she lost her source of income and spent some time at her brothers with her daughter while looking for another job. She eventually got a job as a nurse with both land and money that she was saving for a rainy day as well as continued association with Mordecai who seemed to be interested in rejoining her life and providing aid. Her daughter however did not adjust well to the change in lifestyle, and after a spree of adventures Margaret was forced to make the decision to send her daughter away to live with family who could afford to give her more attention and safety then she could with another child under her care. She communicates with her daughter by owl and is hoping to become financially independent enough oneday to not need to be employed and care for daughter. She knows the likelihood of such a thing happening and believes it to be an idle dream. She is not a particularly ambitious person. She finds what employment she can, employment that is quiet and doesn’t make waves, and Mordecai comes back into her life. She keeps him at arms length until a night of spells brings them forever closer, despite Margaret’s attempts at self-sabotage.
  Her children however find out their own heritage, and begin a search for her.
  
  Personality: A devoted woman with an inner strength who is absolutely determined not to be a burden to anybody and in her pursuit of kindness she is self-sabotaging. Her selflessness is destructive, as is her inborn reluctance to trust in others.
