James gave a small laugh. “I believe Julia may be taking lessons from your mother then.” He gave a smile. “She took my address book when visiting me in Vienna and arranged a dinner party behind my back- and asked my friend to bring their sisters.” He blushed deeply at the memory. Fortunately none of his friends had taken it the wrong way, but James was still mortified at the very mention of it.

“My family too his fairly small, but I doubt Julia would allow me to do anything quietly.” He confided, a little despondent. “But perhaps if I am lucky enough to find someone I am very happy with, then she might let me have more say.”

"You never know. My mother was actually quite embarrassing, and had it not been because I was lucky enough to get away on my horse, then I might never have started courting Mr. Avery in the first place." she said with a smile. "So do not let Julia control your life, or who you might end up courting." she added with a smile.

"Now I should probably go talk with Julia, because she comes over and drags me away." she said with a smile.

“Of course.” James agreed with a pleasant smile. “I wouldn’t want to unleash her wrath on anyone else.” He gave a laugh and a small bow before turning away from Miss Sands, wondering where else he could hide.
