"How on Earth am I distracting you, my love?" She asked in an innocent tone, now worlds more comfortable in her undergarments since her skirts were now neatly draped over the arm of the chaise behind Edmund.

"Of course, darling, but you are still incorrect. Because it is now what I currently am and I am certainly neither a baby nor a child. But I was what I currently am twice before," as she spoke, she discarded her bustle and corset cover. "Twice, it was your fault, the other time was not," she informed him, unable to help a mildly sad look as Alexander crossed her mind.

Never in her life, could she think of him without sadness despite having moved past things well enough to play this stripping game with her second husband, whom she loved just as much as she had her first. Just in a different way.

"Care to make another guess?" She checked with a sly smile as she stepped out of her petticoat, fully revealing the maternity corset. He might have been a man but he was intimately aware of the differences between a regular corset and a maternity one. There was no way he would guess wrong now. Obviously, she was not quite showing yet so the maternity corset was not needed yet but it had been a fun way to let her news be known.

Making a show of considering Katharina’s remaining undergarments, Edmund stifled a laugh at her innocent tone, then snuck a kiss in. “Well, would I be right in saying this is a maternity corset?” He checked. He was, in fact, well aware of the difference, especially when one considered they were rather close, so he could start guessing it here. The sad look made him slightly sad himself, because he could guess whom she was thinking of, though that was in the past. And if this was what he was thinking about, it was going to stay in the past, especially with how busy their lives were going to get.

Returning her husbands kiss when he kissed her, Katharina nodded at his question. "Indeed, not needed just yet but perhaps in a couple of months. Are you happy about, my love? It has happened a bit soon after Cassies birth but you just couldn't keep your hands off of me, could you?" She teased as she settled on his lap and brushed a kiss in his sensitive spot just under his ear. "Care to help me unlace the corset?" She asked suggestively, the possible after events being rather obvious or so she felt.

“It is a mite soon for you to have a child again, but it makes me happy since you so obviously are,” he concurred, amused at Katharina’s reasoning. “And in my defense, I have a beautiful wife who’s making it hard for me to keep my hands off her, including helping her out of various garments she tends to wear,” he teased, sneaking in another kiss. He wagered they’d end up spending the evening quite pleasantly after a long day, and in his case, it was not such a bad idea, all told.
