    Esther certainly hoped the students knew the rules by now, but she went over them anyway. "Miss Carmichael may begin."

    Cecily gave her very formal little bow to her opponant and the moderator and then took a deep breath - she recognisd October from her own house but didn't really know her.

    She took a deep breath and attempted to disarm her opponant

    The shield charm failed to do it's job, so Esther announced, "Miss Carmichael takes the first round. Miss Lynch, please begin the next."

    Cecily = 7, October = 4

    Cecily didn't bother trying a shield charm instead she wanted to try and bind her opponants arms, hoping to send the spell off target and prevent her opponant from moving.

    Well, that made things a bit difficult. Technically both spells hit at once, but in the end Esther decided that the arm binding was better at indisposing an opponent. "Miss Carmichael takes the duel."

    October = 5, Cecily = 5
