Appearance: Morwen is roughly five feet and four inches tall in height and very slightly underweight for that height, though nothing dramatically noticeable. She wears outdated clothing usually in dull colors. She is right handed.
    History:
October 5th, 1854: Morwenna is born on a gloomy October morning, the seventh child to her parents. She is quickly lost in the growing swarm of children.
December, 1855: Morwen makes her fist display of magic when she sets Quincy's clothes on fire because he was teasing her.
November, 1858: Four year old Morwenna starts going out with her older siblings where they work to help bring in more money doing various things ranging from pick-pocketing to shoe shining.
February, 1864: At the tender age of nine, while shining a gentleman's shoes, she was snatched. The man whose shoes she was attending to, was in fact, paid to take young girls of specific descriptions to a brothel where they would be kept for a certain customer.
Summer, 1866: Still residing in the brothel, Morwenna's Hogwarts letter arrived but she couldn't read it (being that she was illiterate), not that she would have been allowed to go anyway.
1868: Morwenna already resents her situation but her resentment begins to grow as she realizes that she's going to be stuck in the brothel for the rest of her life.
July, 1869: A witch arrives at the brothel.
December, 1869: The witch takes Morwenna under her wing after she sees the Hogwarts letter, recognizing it for what it was instantly.
February 22nd, 1870: The witch dies while taking care of a customer, Morwenna is distraught. She takes the witch's wand and finds a resolve in herself to escape.
March 1st, 1870: Sixteen year old Morwenna fights back. With the wand she doesn't really know how to use, she accidentally kills a man and flees. Finally in possession of her freedom, she finds her way back to the family home but she is met with a lukewarm reception. Her family, while pleased to see her again, are also all too aware of what she's been up to since her disappearance.
March 29th, 1870: Morwenna is urged to leave the family home and is effectively estranged.
April, 1870: Homeless and unemployed, Morwen resorts to pick-pocketing and thievery in general to survive.
August 11th, 1870: Morwenna makes the mistake of trying to pickpocket a man who is not only a wizard, but too quick for her to rob. Fearing the repercussions of her attempted thievery, she is greatly surprised when he lets her escape with only a few harsh words. His small kindness was received very graciously by her.
September, 1870: Over the next month or so, Morwen sees the man on several occasions and makes various pleas with him to teach her how to use her wand but he turns her down every time. She may or may not have stalked him a little.
October 23rd, 1870: Morwenna decides to follow him home in a desperate effort to change his mind about teaching her. While initially met with resistance, she convinces him with her revelation of her pureblood lineage.
January, 1871: While being taught how to use magic, Morwenna quickly develops deep feelings for the man, whose name she now knows is Gaunt.
March, 1871: After several weeks of trying to silently communicate her feelings, she apparently does something right and they end up doing the horizontal tango. Shortly after, he proposed and she eagerly agreed.
    May 16th, 1871: They marry.
1872: Morwenna gives birth to their first child, a daughter. She is enamored with the child. Much to her dismay, her husband soon after arranges with his brother to marry their daughter off to his nephew, Marvolo. While she protests, she is ultimately overruled. Feeling that her child is really hers no longer, Morwenna's enthusiasm for motherhood abruptly dies.
1873: Morwen manages to secure herself a legitimate job in a shop located in Knockturn Alley.
1875: Morwenna has her first son.
1877: Morwenna has a third child, another girl. For a number of reasons including a growing family, the family uproot and move to Hogsmeade. Unable to apparate, Morwenna has to quit her job but she receives decent references and is pleased to move to Hogsmeade where, for the first time, she will be in a purely wizarding community. She suffers a miscarriage shortly after the move. Money is also a lot tighter after relocating and puts strain on her marriage.
April, 1880: She gets a new job at the apothecary but is dismissed after accidentally breaking some glass jars of ingredients. She finds odd jobs to do after as she struggles to find full time employment.
January, 1881: Unable to find more work, Morwen invests in some material and equipment to begin producing her own lace to sell. She despises the tedious work but hasn't got much of a choice.
November, 1882: Morwenna suffers yet another miscarriage.
1883: Her firstborn receives her Hogwarts letter. Her husband had always thought sending his eldest daughter to Hogwarts an unnecessary extravagance, contrary to Morwenna who not only resented her deprivation of Hogwarts, but wanted to delay her daughter's arranged marriage and keep her off the streets.
1885: Feeling the strain of the family's financial situation, especially with her son approaching Hogwarts age and the sudden revelation of a potential fourth child, Morwenna started occasionally prostituting in secret. A miscarriage followed shortly after.
Personality: Morwenna is a narrow-minded woman with a harsh view on life. She is not very trusting and quick to anger and often bitter about her station in life. She is capable of being very affectionate but she isn't sparing with it either. She finds it especially trying when her family communicate in parseltongue around her and she can't understand what they're saying - it tends to set her teeth on edge.
