You did a great job in the duel today! I'm sorry you got knocked out, but you're going to cheer for me right? After all if I win and I beat you it's almost like you won! I'll just have to win for you.

    Dear Dolly

Thank you, and so did you. I am not good at duels at all, I feel like I am failing transfiguration, so I am not too surprised about the result.

Of course I will cheer for you, there is no reason for you to worry about that.

Do not worry about me, I still have my wonderful family and it is not like I lose anything by being defeated in a duel.

Promise me you will go out and do your very best in your next duel.

    love,
    Marissa

You're failing Transfiguration? I'm pretty good at it; maybe we can work together on it this year? And if you're still not comfortable about it after our O.W.L.s you can drop it. Of course, I won't be back after my O.W.L.s ... once I have them I'm going to go into training to be a Mediwitch.

I promise I'll do my best to win! Will you come to cheer for me?

    Dear Dolly

I have never been good at Transfiguration. I am better at potions.

Last year I was tutoring a younger girl in potions and she helped me with transfiguration. And my sister-in-law has helped me over the summer, when she had the time of course. She gave birth to a girl shortly before the summer-vacation.

But I would love to get your help as well. Thank you SO much.

I am planning on dropping it after the O.W.L.s, but at the same time I feel it is like I am giving up. It is one of the more feminine classes we have.

I wish you would be back after the O.W.L.s, I think you could get enough N.E.W.T.s to become a healer.

But I wish you the best of luck with becoming a Mediwitch, I am sure you will do great.

Of course I will come to cheer for you. I still have to get my school things for the new year, so I can always combine it with that. And even if it turns problematic, I will STILL be there to cheer for you.

    love,
    Marissa

I don't really think that going on to be a Healer is going to be an option. I get good enough grades to get into the internship program, I think, but they're not quite good enough to really hold onto a scholarship. I'm going to manage to get through my fifth year, but then it's best if I go ahead and go into training to be a Mediwitch. I'll miss getting to be in school, but I'll still be able to see you and my other friends when you come up for Hogsmeade weekends!

I'm glad you're going to cheer for me, and I'm sure it will help me to do better.

    Dear Dolly

Are you sure Dolly? I could try and talk with Cory, but of course he has his own family to worry about.

Gosh I will miss you, but luckily we still have two years before you will have to leave.

Promise me that we will stay in contact. Of course it will be different, but we will still be able to meet whenever I have vacation.

I hope so, you really deserve for someone to see how talented you are.

    love,
    Marissa

I'm sure, and I couldn't let you ask your brother to pay for me! I'll manage, and being a mediwitch is a lot better than my sister Rosie managed, or my brother Gus. Ned made it through to be a healer, but he's really really smart.

It's going to be time for my next duel soon; I hopefully see you there!

    Dear Dolly

Well, at least you are lucky enough to get your O.W.L.s, and having a goal as mediwitch is a good goal. It will secure you a job and let you make enough money to survive without having to worry.

If it fails for you, I am sure I can convince my brother to hire you as a maid, and then once I marry you can become my lady’s maid.

Your sister is a maid, right? It is better than being a prostitute.

I promised to be there, so I will be there.

    love,
    Marissa
