[Harper Beckett]

The Becketts are a very high-income middle class family (Harper is a solid 3 or low 2, plus Prendan is writing textbooks) but the only really splurgy thing Harper's really considered is maybe surprising Brendan with a new house-elf to take some of the burden off of their ancient one.

[Handsome Whitledge]

I keep having more of these for Handsome soooo >.>

— Handsome originally wanted to be a magizoologist when he was younger, so he signed up for CoMC and Ghoul Studies! He eventually found a love for higher-level practical magic and wanted to pursue a career in charms and such, but if he ends up not liking his summer internship he might revert back to his original dream!

— He signed up for Ancient Runes because he wanted to take something mentally stimulating but ended up not being very good at it! He tries super hard and probably brings @'HALVAR KIRMANI' chocolates and other assorted candies on Hogsmeade weekends to make up for him generally sucking in his class!

— If you haven't caught on, Handsome shows his affection and appreciation by giving people candy! He sends his siblings candies by owl post when he's away at school and he also gives them out as thanks. He probably stocks up on them during Hogsmeade weekends with his allowance and stores them in some drawer in his dorm xD

— Handsome's best classes are DADA, Transfiguration, and Charms, and his worst classes are Ancient Runes, Astronomy, and History of Magic. He literally falls asleep in the latter, does not enjoy looking at stars and shit, and he just finds Ancient Runes difficult and hard to process. He is super good, however, with practical magic!

— He totally lacks artistic ability in every sense but makes his family members and friends holiday cards instead of buying them for the sentimental value despite how terrible they probably look in the end. He's a very sentimental person!

— He has a Slughorn approach on blood purity! He doesn't have any hate or obvious prejudice towards muggleborns, but sometimes is surprised (in the most innocent ways) when they do super well in school? I'm not sure if it's because he subconsciously views them as having lesser magical ability or if it's because he knows they haven't grown up in the magical world—probably a little bit of both!

— @'NIKOLAI SLEPTOV' intimidates him a lot, but he probably tries really hard in his class and participates a lot in dueling club to try and make the professor seem less scary?

  

[Handsome Whitledge]

— Handsome turned himself into a paternal figure for his younger siblings when his father died, because while he loves his mother to death, he felt like the last drop of sanity and proper decision-making left the family when his dad died. He buys his siblings a lot of stuff and plans a lot of his schedule around his siblings' desires and needs while he's home from Hogwarts to make sure they don't feel abandoned or unhappy.

Jason's father is based on Dracula from the original Bram Stoker novel.

  

[Astrid Parkinson]

Privately, it actually really upsets Astrid that @'Andromeda Parkinson' isn’t more like her—that is, intellectually or politically driven into a worthwhile profession. I think part of the reason she’s so picky about who her daughter will marry is because it seems marriage is the only thing available for her to excel at :(

Holliday is apparently afraid of heights. Not sure whether it’s my level (stairs fine, strapped in fine, balconies fine, ladders DEAR GOD NO WHAT IS THIS MADNESS) or more akin to Kel in Protector of the Small. Guess I’ll have to put her to the test >D

[Orpheus Parkinson]

The main reason Orpheus is struggling to find a girl he likes is because he mentally categorises women into two divisions: if they're ambitious or strong willed or domineering, they remind him too much of his Mother and that terrifies him because he feels like he's spent his whole life in the shadow of her.

On the other hand, if they're not, then they get ranked against Drommy, who as his little sister can do no wrong at all.

  

[Handsome Whitledge]

Even if he's close enough friends with someone to where he'd address them by their first name, he still would want to be called Mr. Whitledge. Being called Handsome by anyone but his family members makes him do a double-take and throws him off guard because part of him is unsure, in that moment, whether they're addressing him by his name or complimenting his appearance.

  

[Keir Pottinger]

In addition to their estate in rural N Ireland, the Pottingers have townhouses in Belfast, London, and Hogsmeade - but they haven't used the ones in Belfast and London since '77, and they're currently let out to tenants. The one in Hogsmeade was built with the intention of moving to Hogsmeade, but the family ultimately didn't because of Keir. It is closed up most of the year and only used for convenience during the season, although Ava intends to actually live there while trying to marry off her daughters.

  

[Mathias Beaumont]

MATHIAS EDITION WOO.

— Mathias would totally be judgy about a girl being damaged goods but he's too in love with Rosie to even give a flying fuck.

— He doesn't really want Rosie to be a healer but he cares about her feelings and dreams to much to say no to her? fuck, he took his little sister out of Hogwarts after fourth year bc she refused the idea of marriage and wanted to be a healer instead

— Horses hate him. They really, truly do.

— For someone who is racist, sexist, classist, and a blood purist, he's a huge squish ball when you soften him up.

— His biggest worry about living in London is muggles finding out he and his (soon-to-be) are magical and then slaughtering Rosie when he's not around to protect her?

  

[Felix Parkinson I]

Felix is secretly afraid he will never measure up to his older brother. Perhaps it was the lack of growing up with a solid roll model in his life that separates Felix from his brother but it seems like whatever he does he's in the wrong and will never be noticed for his own accomplishments, always trapped in his brothers shadow and the mistakes of his past.

  

[Ezra Fairclough]

ABOUT EZRA: He's still a virgin and has only kissed one woman @'Abraham Aesalon' and only after they became engaged. And, yes, Ezra's still a virgin. Though I did debate having him go to a brothel to get some after his engagement with Abe broke... (The repression!?)

ABOUT YAZ: I originally made Yaz with Yoshida Haru from My Little Monster in mind. I also decided that Yaz is infertile shortly after his creation.

  

[Evil Price]

Evie will devote her adult life to taxidermy and trying to permanently animate said taxidermy with magic. Think low-end, kinda moldy, walking taxidermy.
