I hope that Britain doesn't feel too weird after you spent so much time in Japan? The weather is different, I've heard and so is the food. I suppose it will take little Josephine quite some time getting used to Britain due to the time difference between Japan and Britain. I hope her sleep schedule was not ruined too much?
Mine definitely has. This year is definitely my most demanding one so far and I really hope that I will not do terribly on my OWLs. They, combined with my prefect duties make sure that I do not have so much free time. I can barely find time to read books that do not have to do with my classes! But I do not want to complain. My classes are more interesting than ever and I am looking forward to my NEWT ones.

I admit it has been a long time since we have had the time to talk, but it was distance and then you of course had your school, but hopefully we will have time once the christmas holiday is upon us. I have not planned any further trips so for now it seems like we will stay and have christmas with the entire family.
In case I have said it previously, I will still wish you congratulations on becoming prefect. I am sure you will be worthy of it and be fair whenever you will have to take points.
I think the change from Japan is hardest on Jo. The smells surrounding us, the clothes, the whether - even if she is still so young it is a very big change for her. And her sleeping pattern has definitely been completely turned over. Hopefully it will not be long before she has gotten used to being here.
I am sure you will do well in your OWLs, you are a bright young girl and in a months time you will surely already have figured out how to keep ahead of all your classes, as well as help where you can. You just need a bit more time to adjust from summer vacation to an important school year as well as prefect.
I hope Jo will get used to England soon. I quite missed her, she's a year old now, isn't she? If Genia does not mind I could visit you and see her during my Hogsmeade weekend this month? I do not think I've ever met her and I was quite excited to learn that I am aunt, even if I am not really her aunt.
I also quite love the nickname Jo! It reminds me of Jo March from Little Women. She was not my favourite from that book, but I still find it exciting to have the same name as a book character.

If you wish to learn the Patronus charm, I am sure father will hire a private tutor, or I could teach you. I see no reason for you to keep an entire class for two years just to learn one - agreed - very complicated spell.
Yes, Jo has just turned a year, not long after you returned to Hogwarts. You, like Ayumi, is always welcome in my home. You are both my sisters and I cannot possibly imagine not having either of you in my life. I see no reason for Genia to have any problem with you visiting us for a few hours, during your Hogsmeade weekend. I am sure she will be thrilled, as will Jo.
Adopted or not, you are still my sister. Techincally Ayumi is only my half-sister, that does not make us any less siblings.
