It does worry me when I hear you speak in such ways. I could only imagine what mother and father would think if they heard that you would support my marriage to a muggle! You must be careful how you speak when we return home for the season; the last thing I want is you falling out of favor with our parents. I do, however, appreciate your unwavering support. I am truly blessed to have you standing by my side.
It pains me to hear that the idea of spinsterhood is on your mind. As happy as I would be to spend a lifetime with you, I'd rather do so surrounded by our children and grandchildren!
I would see no reason for you to attend Mrs. Pendergast's School. For while it might be fashionable, attending finishing school means that you will debut at an older age than other debutantes. It wouldn't be the first time a 'finished' debutante found herself struggling to find a husband due to being surrounded by younger, and therefore more eligible, debutantes! You, of all people, are most definitely prepared to debut in society. Me? Perhaps not.
