"That is not dealing," Grania repeated, "and it is not healthy. Avoiding him is a good idea, but you need to go about your life as usual and not announce to the world that something happened! What is more, you need to not let him think that he had some sort of effect on you. You have to be strong, Muireann. You have to actually be a Gryffindor and not a spineless little worm who runs and hides every time something goes wrong. What are you, Muir? A Gryffindor, or a coward?"

"I do get on with my life. I still go to classes, I still go down to the great hall, I just do not eat." she insisted and looked at Nia. "And I am a gryffindor. At least I know what I have done wrong and can take the punishment." she added and looked at Nia.

Nia snorted. It wasn't particularly ladylike, but at the moment she didn't care. "That is the most ridiculous load of dung that I have ever heard. You're punishing yourself? Idiot. If you miss a single meal between now and when we go home -- and I'll be watching! -- then I'll write mother and tell her everything. And I don't mean picking at your plate, either! You will eat proper meals."

"Start writing then, because I do not want to eat. Just let me be. I promise to eat when we go back home." she said and looked at her sister.

Grania raised an eyebrow and opened her book bag. She wasn't bluffing. She didn't bluff. Out came a bottle of ink, quill, parchment -- all the thinks to write a letter. She quickly inked her quill and began writing.

"Dear Mum," she said as she wrote, saying exactly what she was writing. "I just found out that Muireann gave herself to some boy here at school. She doesn't know if she's with child or not yet, but either way I think that it's obvious that she cannot be trusted at Hogwarts."

"WHAT?" she praccally yelled and quickly stood from her chair and rushed over to get the parchment away from Nia. "Please Nia - do not make mother take me away from Hogwarts." She begged and looked at Nia.

"Please, I do not want to be home all the year, I want to learn more and I will mis Lavender." she said and looked hopefully at Grania.

"Eat," Nia said firmly. "Take care of yourself. Don't let him take more from you than he already has! Don't give him that sort of power over you. The best thing you can do now is show him that he didn't effect you, that it was a moment of weakness and he doesn't matter. That's the only revenge you can get."

  

[Muireann Sheehan]

"Fine." she sighed and looked down. "But I do not want to take revenge, I just want to forget it all." she added. Revenge, it was not needed to her, and she could not really feel that angry at Rasmus Mohr.

  

[Grania Taylor]

"Then forget," Grania said. "Pretend nothing happened. Pretend that you don't remember. Eventually you'll stop thinking about it."

  

[Muireann Sheehan]

"I will try. Can I go back to the common room now?" she asked and looked at Nia hopefully.

"Yes," Nia said. "But remember -- I'll be watching you. And tell me as soon as you get your monthlies, so I know if I need to ... look into things." Things that were dangerous but still better than a bastard.
