Charming is a Victorian Era Harry Potter roleplay set primarily in the village of Hogsmeade, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the non-canon village of Irvingly. Characters of all classes, both magical and muggle — and even non-human! — are welcome.
With a member driven story line, monthly games and events, and a friendly and drama-free community focused on quality over quantity, the only thing you can be sure of is fun!
"Are you always this forward?" He asked teasingly since it would be a very short thread if he just ignored her entirely. — Tobin Cartwright in Take A Peek
Did you know? Churchgoers and worshippers had to endure a foul stench during prayers due to the amount of bodies often stored within the vaults of churches and chapels.
Business as usual saw itself disrupted yesterday at the Ministry of Magic, when a prankster in Magical Maintenance (whose name has not yet been released) decided to fiddle with the climate spells in place. Unfortunately, he lacked the necessary skill to not make everything go horribly awry, resulting in a near-complete shutdown of the premises while maintenance and the Department of Magical Accidents and Catastrophes worked to set things to rights!
Various areas of the building saw weather ranging from severe heat to light rainfall, from white-out blizzards to eerie fogs. _____________________________________________________________
Most notably, the Department for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures first saw itself buried in three feet of snow, only for a bout of heat to set in, melt it all, and flood the floor!
Non-essential employees have been given today off while the building is cleaned up for the second time this year. Fortunately, there were no deaths reported, though no fewer than five employees suffered from heat stroke and one gentleman lost a thumb to frostbite.

T he Lloyd family are officially announcing the disappearance of Mr. Ianto Lloyd and his wife, Mrs. Etcetera Lloyd. The couple married back on May 1st, in a ceremony that many may recall as quite eccentric. Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd then set off to their honeymoon to South America, Peru, to be particular, and were supposed to return nearly three weeks ago.
Not only did their family not receive any words about extending their stay, but, after contacting
the hotel the newlyweds were staying at, they were shocked to find out that Mr. and Mrs. Lloyd disappeared without trace in the end of May!
They apparently left the hotel on May 29th for what was supposed to be a day-long trip on the mountains. However, the couple never returned from that trip. Investigations are currently being held.
We can only offer our sympathies to the Lloyd family during these hard times.
