    Astra,

How are you cousin? It has been way too long since we last saw each other. I wish you'd live in Hogsmeade so we could meet more often.

    Miss Jessamine,

Indeed it has been a while since we have spoken, but you are wrong in your information that I am not in Hogsmeade. Thanks to the hospitality of the Dragov family, I've been staying with Miss Dragova in Wellingtonshire for over a month already! It simply must have slipped my mind that you might have wanted to visit or go out. You know how, being the diligent student I am, I can get carried away in the library and lose track of time. Well, the Dragov library is quite impressive!

I do not know if you wished to meet and tell me something of the utmost urgency, but if that is not the case, perhaps we can postpone a visit until a weekend field trip to Hogsmeade? I had not intended on doing much these last two weeks other than enjoy sleeping in a bit later than I will at the castle though Miss Dragova has nixed that effort completely and totally and relax before my NEWT level classes start to catch up with me. Pardon the inconvenience, and pray tell me in the meantime, how are your siblings and your father? I hope everything is well in your corner of the world.*

    Regards,
    Astraea Nott

    Cousin Astraea,

I know the game you are playing. Be honest for once and tell it straight to my face. After all, I will marry your brother and you might be forced to see more of me. I know at least two of your siblings will be happy to see me again.

    Miss Jessamine,

How you can begin to accuse me of such a thing is inconceivable! I only meant to be cordial in my letter, and if you assumed otherwise, it was on your part and not my intention. We are to be sisters someday, and it would not be conducive to such a relationship for me to be playing games, as you so phrased it.

However, I do not take kindly to such accusations, no matter our future connection. I would also think it intelligent of you to reconsider that two of my siblings would be happy to see you. My acquaintance with all five of them is intimate enough to give me the authority to rebuke such a sentiment vehemently.

    Regards,
    Astraea Nott
