Charming is a Victorian Era Harry Potter roleplay set primarily in the village of Hogsmeade, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the non-canon village of Irvingly. Characters of all classes, both magical and muggle — and even non-human! — are welcome.
With a member driven story line, monthly games and events, and a friendly and drama-free community focused on quality over quantity, the only thing you can be sure of is fun!
"Are you always this forward?" He asked teasingly since it would be a very short thread if he just ignored her entirely. — Tobin Cartwright in Take A Peek
Did you know? Churchgoers and worshippers had to endure a foul stench during prayers due to the amount of bodies often stored within the vaults of churches and chapels.
I am quite excited for your Upcoming Nuptials, although of course my Excitement must Pale In Comparison to Your Own. Why, I Remember my Own Wedding Day with Great Fondness, and know how Frightened I was about the Night To Follow! I assure you, it is not as Bad as it Seems.
It must be Odd to Think that you will have the Same Name after your Wedding as you do now. Still, it is a Sign of Good Breeding to be Conscious of One's Family, and when it comes to Family it is easier to be Certain of Blood and Breeding.
I do hope that Mr. Longbottom is Well, and is not Too Distraught over the fact that Britain was Robbed of our Rightful Victory by those Savage Egyptians. It is still a Great Accomplishment that he Made the National Team, and he did Quite Well for the Beginning of the Game.
Still, he has No Reason to worry now. Your Wedding is Upcoming, and all he must do is Wait while We Women do All The Work.
Have you Chosen your Flowers yet. Wedding Flowers are of Grave Importance, and must be given Proper Thought. The Meaning of your Wedding Flowers can Color your Entire Marriage, and you Must be Careful to Favorably Influence your Life with Mr. Longbottom.
It is All so Very Important! You must be so Very Stressed; do not Work yourself Into Vapors! Be sure to get Plenty of Rest and Relaxation! You Must Make Sure Your Maid Massages Your Scalp For The Headaches You Are Surely Having. Warm Baths are Also Helpful.
If there is Anything I can Do to Assist, Do Not Hesitate to let me Know. I am Always At Your Disposal.
With Love and Affection,

I am quite excited for that wedding, for I am confident that Mr. Longbottom will be a good husband and that certainly makes my wedding seem like a happy occassion, like it should be. The fact that I will keep my name after the wedding is also a delight. I have always been proud of my family and to know that I will remain a Longbottom after I am married is a delight.
As far as I am concerned, Mr. Longbottom is well. I doubt that he is still hurt about Britain's loss; he hardly seems as the sulky type. Britain will have plenty of victories in the future and I am sure that my husband-to-be will be there to witness them and be part of them.
The wedding preparations go well so far. I wouldn't let them for the last moment, so I think that I do not think that there are many things to be done. I am going with white roses for sure and I am thinking of some flowers that mean strenght and love. I also like the idea of hydrangeas, I certainly want this marriage to have understanding. Peonies would look good with roses and hyndrangeas and I could perhaps add some stephanotis here and there as well? I definitely do not want too many flowers, that would look a bit messy.
I try not to worry too much about the wedding, but I of course have the same fears as most brides. I do not want to disappoint Mr. Longbottom by being a bride he would dread to have. I also hope that I will not fail to present him with an heir early in the marriage. I cannot help but fear that I might have my mother's luck when children are concerned... But I shall not worry you too much about that!
Thank you for the support you gave me with this letter. It certainly means a lot.
I am Ecstatic that you are Happy for your Future Wedding. It will be Wonderful for you to Become Mrs. Longbottom, and I Know you will Do Your Family Proud. It is a Great Honor to be Tasked with Continuing Your Family Name in a Right and Honorable way, and Not At All like those Horrible Hussies who Ruin the Reputations of All Their Relations. Not that I can Imagine Why one would Want to Do That, except When Required by Their Wedded Husband.
As for our Horrendous Defeat, I am Certain that We Will Prevail in Future Endeavors. It is Only Too Bad that Mr. Longbottom Plays For the Chudley Cannons, for they have No Chance of Ever Having a Winning Season. His Talents are Wasted where he currently employs them. Perhaps you can Guide Him To Greatness after the Wedding.
There are always so Many Things to Do for Any Wedding, and I am certain that Hydrangeas and Peonies will look Fine with Steophanotis, but Roses Will Clash with The Other Flowers. The Texture is All Wrong! You Must Think More on How Things Will Look, or you may Ruin your Wedding Day.
One thing you Must Not Worry About is that Mr. Longbottom will be Disappointed By You. You are a Wonderful Woman, and Mr. Longbottom Knows it is his Duty to Be Your Husband. The Two Of You will Learn to Love Each Other In Time.
Do Not Let Too Long Pass between Our Missives; it is Getting Harder for me to Go About as my Time Nears. I Do Hope that This One will be a Boy. I Love my Princess Peacock, but William Deserves and Needs an Heir.
With Love and Affection,
Queen Maeve Rekindled Woolfe
I never thought that Mr. Longbottom might be wasting his talent in the Chudley Cannons, which must show how terribly informed I am when Quidditch is concerned. I shall talk to him about it, though that can wait until we know each other better. I would hate for him to think that I am a pushy wife!
You are right about the roses! Perhaps I shall remove them? Roses are overrated anyway and I want my wedding to be memorable. I wish I could somehow include red to honour our Hogwarts house, but I do not want my wedding reception to look like a brothel! Perhaps I could go with gold instead? Your ideas have always been more creative than mine, so I am sure you will have something nice to suggest!
I am sure that you will bless Mr. Woolfe with a son soon! I hope that my first child is a boy as well, so then our sons could play together.
I supposed it Does Not Matter what team Mr. Longbottom plays on; after all, Quidditch is Only A Game and one day he will have to Grow Up. All Wives are Pushy, but the Best Wives are Subtle as they Guide their Husbands. You should Focus Your Efforts on Mr. Longbottom's career After Quidditch.
As for your Flowers, I would suggest Wrapping Gold Ribbon around the Stems of the Bouquets. That could be a Very Pretty way to both Hide The Stems and Incorporate Gold.
I am Certain that our Future Children will Play Together, and Perhaps we will even Be So Lucky as to have A Pair that is Properly Aged to Wed.
With Love and Affection,
Queen Maeve Rekindled Woolfe
