As the lady blushed, Lance's cheeks tinged pink, having become suddenly aware that he was conversing with a stranger. He'd been so concerned he hadn't really stopped to think about it. But he was still worried. He wasn't yet certain how badly she'd injured herself.
He offered the lady a soft smile.
"If you prefer," he said kindly. Anything that could take her mind off the pain would be beneficial. So if she wanted Lance to magically summon water even though he had a canteen with him (due to training) he would.
Lance extracted his wand as well as his empty canteen. (He liked to be prepared with training. He was never sure just what they would have him do and he handled challenges best if he was well hydrated. Of course he knew the charm to add water. But sometimes he'd cast so many spells he was drained. Saving your magical energy could be crucial.) He tapped his wand over the opening in the canteen and said
"Aguamenti". A jet of water burst from his wand to fill the bottle. He held it out for her.
"My lady," he offered with a sweet smile.
He beamed when the lady told him her name.
"It's very nice to meet you Lady Lannon." He took a seat beside her.
"Do you know a bit of magic?" he asked curiously. Some servants hadn't received any magical training. Others had some. Of course it was always possible she was a squib, a rough state of affairs. But he thought discussing magic might be a good way to make her forget her pain. She did seem interested in magic anyways.
