19th July
Dear William,
As there is precious little to do at uncle John's castle other than write letters I do hope you won't mind another epistle so soon? At the moment I find I crave a sense of unity with the family that isn't here and those that remain trapped in Hogsmeade, even if I think I would be utterly terrified to be trapped in the village! How terrifying it must have been during the blaze! no more terrifying that staying in Fort Lestrange
Mama reminded me how remiss I was in my last letter not to ask after Tullia and her health specifically. I confess it still seems rather strange to me that one of our former housemates is now a member of the family and I hope I shall see her again very soon - our paths haven't crossed properly since your wedding!
As we're all out of the village perhaps we shall see you sooner rather than later. Although I pray that the quarantine will be ended soon. My very dear friend Ivy - you recall Ivy? She was in our house and year too and is soon to be married to Mr Scrivenshaft - is still there and I fret about her every day.
Sincerely,
Minnie.
