With Florizel not returning to school and Desdemona preparing for her wedding, the start of the Hogwarts term completely slipped my mind this year. I do hope it is treating you well so far. Fifth year can be a daunting one with OWLs looming at the end, but I'm sure you will make it through. You are too much like me to have been made prefect, so that will leave you with plenty of time to devote to your studies -- and your sketching, of course!

My dearest Aunt Perpetua,

Not to worry - the start of my fifth year at Hogwarts has proven rather uneventful, much as the beginning of my fourth year was, and the third before it, and the second... I could go on, but I shall spare you.  Thankfully, one doesn't require permission to join the Flying Club.  The Leisure Sports Club provides me with some outlet, though badminton is a poor substitute for Quidditch all told.  And though mother and Uncle Benjamin refuse to allow me to try out for a position on my house team or even sign up for Quidditch club, I did audition for match commentator.  Surely they can find nothing indecorous in such a pursuit.  I wrote to Barthogan not two days ago with a request that he convince mother to take us all to Sanditon for the Charity Match - perhaps, if you would be so inclined, you might also make mention of it to her?  I would be forever in your debt.
