"Are you always this forward?" He asked teasingly since it would be a very short thread if he just ignored her entirely. — Tobin Cartwright in Take A Peek
Did you know? Churchgoers and worshippers had to endure a foul stench during prayers due to the amount of bodies often stored within the vaults of churches and chapels.
I apologize that I cannot personalize this for each of you, but I feel that sharing this wonderful news with you cannot wait until there is time for that. Today Jane and I have welcomed our third daughter into the world and named her Iris Felicity. Both Jane and Iris are doing well, although they are also quite exhausted. Edelweiss and Jessamine are ecstatic to be older sisters. You are all welcome to call to see the baby, but please keep any visits brief so that Jane and Iris can rest.
Congratulations on the birth of your daughter, Brother. I am confident that she shall become a beauty (though I doubt you want to dwell on this fact too much) much like her older sisters. Speaking of said twin girls, if the house becomes noisy or hectic during the time that Jane and the baby recover, I would be delighted to take a day and take them to Padmore Park to release some energy, and to spend a bit of time with their devoted uncle.
I am sure that Mother, Frances, Felicia, or even Florence offered their services, as well, but I would not be offended if you and Jane felt that your girls should be under the guidance of women. I may just have to tag along with one of them, then.
Please extend my congratulations to Jane, as well.
Dearest Faustus,What wonderful news! Joy and joy again!I will arrange to call quite soon, Faustus. In the mean time, please do pass my congratulations onto Jane. I know full well the exhaustion of all varieties that creeps in following the birth of a child. Be sure to treat her well, my dear. I know this will be no problem for you, since I know that your father and I raised you to be a kind and caring gentleman. I am catching my breath after our family dinner of a few weeks past. A fact I need not tell you is that our family is large. Agnes and I are still finding Jessamine and Edelweiss's toys strewn about the parlour! What a joy it was to have my little darlings in our home once more! Do promise me, Faustus, that you will let your mother know what she needs to do in order to make your life and the lives of your wife and daughters easier. Say but the word and I shall make arrangements. I am off, my dear, to call upon the publishing house with Agnes. I believe that my newest book is soon to be finished. Joys abound for the Prewetts, my dear. A big kiss to you, Faustus, and to Jane and each of my three little darlings! An extra big one to my little Iris Felicity. I remain always, loving and faithful, your mother this snazzy note is sponsored by VEILED DREAMER of caution 2.0!
I cannot congratulate the pair of you enough! I imagine Faustus must now be dreading a future full of nothing but lace and ribbons, but I do not doubt both of you are exceptionally pleased. I am happy to hear that both mother and daughter are in good health and that the twins are adjusting wellùI recall mother saying that I was a bit put out when Frederick came along; it is pleasing that the girls, at least, are unlikely to endure that (this time!). I intend to visit as soon as is acceptable, as any good aunt shouldùand that is what I intend to be.
I must say, I find myself mildly surprised (and flattered!) and the baby's name; I am quite flattered by this, and hope that, in time, I might earn such an honour.
Dear Faustus and Jane,Your joyous news pleases me to no end, and I congratulate you both heartily and sincerely on this new addition to the Prewett family tree. Please give Edelweiss and Jessamine my uncle-y love, and the chocolates I have enclosed for them. I wish Jane a speedy recovery and hope to see you all soon. Sincerely yours,FelixTemplate by Emily
I am delighted to hear of the safe arrival of little Iris and look forward to meeting her for the first time. Look for me to be calling soon; Crispin seems delighted by the prospect of a new cousin though I am not entirely certain he understands fully. Taliesin sends his regards.
