    Like Birds, But With Beads

It was all Selena Savoy's fault for ordering that stupid dress. She'd wanted, to quote Miss Savoy herself, ''For the beading to feel real. For it to flow on the dress like a river." And so, once the beading had been done, a spell had been cast to give off that effect. Marcus had used that technique in the past (albeit for smaller beading works), so he hadn't expected for this to happen.

Beads were swarming around the building like an army of shiny ants. And the worst of it? They attacked people. They straight up crawled up a person. It was creepy!

Marcus had locked himself in his office and he'd instructed Julia, his long suffering secretary, to do something about it.

By the time reinforcements had arrived, the beads had begun an ambush to his office. He could hear them clanking on the door and he was freaked out. Even if they couldn't really hurt him in any way.

"Oh my God just do something!"

Bea McCreery had been sent to deal with the House of Lytton's bead problem. A frightened secretary and sent an owl that looked like it was fearful of the same thing. A charm gone bad had always simple fixes. But upon her arrival, Bea certainly noticed it wasn't exactly a simple spell to fix everything.

Her eyes widened as beads were flying everywhere, pelting those who hadn't found comfortable shelter. Soon enough, the beads started to hone in on her. Waving her wand, Bea exclaimed "Finite Incantatem!" She grimaced and hoped for the best.

No pelting came but she didn't hear the beads fall to the ground either. She opened her eyes and noticed they had somehow froze in the place and then fell to the floor. An audible sigh escaped her lips. She was very relieved. Waving her wand again, she levitated them just enough so that it would be easier to contain the beads. "I think it is safe now," she called. "You can come out now."

Marcus heard her cast Finite Incantatem (duh, he should have thought of that) and the sound of beads falling on the floor at once. Then, a feminine voice told him that it was safe to go out.

The attacking beads had freaked him out, but he wasn't so dramatic as to not believe her. The Ministry dealt with such cases all the time. It was hardly the first time the Ministry had come to his fashion house due to some magical malfunction.

He held his wand tighly, and slowly opened the door of his office. He took a step out... Oh crap. He lost is balance and fell on the beads responsible for his fall.

Bea was happy in this moment to be able to know that even though she wanted to, she couldn't laugh. Instead, keeping her toes pointed as if to push away the beads. She did not want to end up with the man on the floor for that was all sorts of impropriety. "Sir!" Bea exclaimed when she was closer. "Are you okay?"
