I imagine Professor Prince wrote to you already, but I felt that I should write to you myself.
I did a very stupid thing and now I am without a wand. I found a very fascinating book about potions the other day and wanted to try one out. I realized that they were of a higher level than my own, but I didn't think that I would fail so miserably as to receive burns on my hands and make my wand melt!
I am in need of a new wand, by the way.
I'm very sorry, Papa. You know that I would never want to disappoint you in such a way!
