His father is out there somewhere, bur Justus has no desire to find the man who abandoned his pregnant mother.

Appearance:

At five feet five inches, Justus is about average for a man. He has a stocky, muscular build and is often assumed to be involved with a more physical occupation than he actually is. His hair is a brownish-blonde and his eyes are blue-grey. Most of the time, he keeps some scruff above his lip and along the sharp line of his jaw. He dresses as well as he can considering his means and prefers secondhand suits to traditional robes. He's fond of dark greens, blues, and grays. Though it has clearly seen better days, he carries his mother's pocket watch as a memento. He writes with his left hand, but prefers to use his wand with his right.

History:

1862| After a long, difficult labor Pandora gives birth to Justus on New Year's Day.

1867-73| Pandora's status as an unwed mother makes it difficult for her to find employment anywhere. In addition, she is often treated poorly by more reputable members of society. Witnessing his mother's struggles makes him resentful of society's seemingly arbitrary rules and upper class citizens with superiority complexes. He becomes extremely protective of her and often gets into fights with other children who mock her.

1873-74| Justus is only able to attend Hogwarts because of the first year scholarship. The Sorting Hat entertains the idea of making him a Ravenclaw, but ultimately he is sorted into Gryffindor. Due to his difficulties with articulating himself in his first year, Justus was written off as a blockhead by his more eloquent peers. Despite his poor verbal communication skills, his written work always showed promise. His first year was spent working hard in the hopes that he would qualify for an academic scholarship. At year's end, his marks are good enough for him to secure a full academic scholarship. 

1875-76| In this third year, he selects Muggle Studies and Ancient Studies as his OWL-level electives. Still sensitive about his status as a bastard, Justice ends up in detention for "disagreeing" with those who poke fun at him for it. Eventually, he learns that if he wants to stay out of trouble, he has to avoid interacting with others unless it's strictly necessary. He does make some friends, but not many. 

1877-78| At the end of his fifth year, Justus sits for his OWL exams and does well, scoring a mix of Os and Es. 

1878-79|He chooses to take NEWT level Ancient Studies, Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, History of Magic, and Muggle Studies. He begins to think about his life after Hogwarts and is advised to consider a career with the Ministry.

1879-80|Justus' NEWT scores are impressive. He achieves Os in every subject except Defense Against the Dark Arts where he scores an E. 

1880| With his marks, he is able to begin an internship with the Department of Magical Law Enforcement right out of school. He becomes more interested in politics and finds himself favoring the liberal side of every major issue. The issues of poverty and economic injustice resonate with him. He also actively engages in the discourse surrounding women's liberation.

1882| Justus is promoted from intern to clerk. 

1883| Pandora goes missing and her body is later discovered. The investigation into her murder stalls quickly and Justus finds himself angry with the obvious lack of attention being given to her case. In addition to anger, Justus finds himself struggling with grief and an overwhelming sense of loneliness. He develops mild insomnia and turns to his work for some solace. 

1885| After three years as a clerk, Justus becomes a fully fledged lawyer. His excitement over his promotion is tempered by the fact that he really has no one to share the news with. 

1886| Justus moves to London to be closer to work and the centers of his political interests. 

1887| The halfbreed ban and general political situation incite Justus to actually do something. He begins planning to run for Minister. He doesn't anticipate winning at all, but knows he could use a campaign to push the lower class further left.
