Appearance: Standing at five feet, seven inches, a rather lofty height for a woman of the times, Socellia is almost never seen without a parasol and hand fan that compliment her outfit. During the school day, this is in the form of a robin's egg blue lace set, but blue is by far her favorite color, in most every shading variation. With elegant (if perhaps a little gaunt) facial features, long, pianist's fingers, and incredibly long, ink black hair, this statuesque young woman carries herself with the grace and dignity of her position in life. She is ambidextrous, but shows preference for using her right.

History:

1869: Socellia is born, the fifth and final child to Fiorenziano Giuliano Morzolla the Second and Vesuvia Lucia Morzolla, on their eldest son's twentieth birthday, and six weeks early. The standing joke is that she was so eager to meet her eldest brother that she decided to be his birthday present.
1872: For her birthday this year, Socellia is given her first broom by Charinus. She does not take to flight, however. She is also given a stuffed rabbit with floppy ears and tawny fur, by Fiorenziano the Third, and a doll with long black hair, by Sangarinus. She names the doll Lady Luna, and the rabbit Mister Biscuit. For Christmas that year, Charinus makes up for his earlier error by giving his youngest sister a doll as well, with long white hair to compliment the black-haired Lady Luna. This doll is simply named Susie.
1875: On a spring afternoon, when her nanny is too busy working with needlepoint, and no one is around to play, Socellia sets up a small tea party in the middle of her room - and, in a strange first showing of magic, makes Mister Biscuit, Lady Luna, and Susie all physically behave as if they have a spark of autonomy. None of them actually talk, but they nod their heads, sip from empty cups, "eat" imaginary treats. Fiorenziano the Third walks in on this scene, having been busy during the day, and sits down with her, joining the tea party until Soci feels comfortable and not as alone.
1880: Socellia receives her welcome letter to Hogwarts. After lengthy discussions with her brothers and sister, she resigns herself to the fate of the House of the Serpent. However, after a four-minute sitting under the Sorting Hat, she is placed, to her surprise and pleasure, in Ravenclaw, the house of wit and learning
1885: Socellia sits her OWLs near the start of this year. Her grades are thus:

Taking into account these grades and her personal desires, Socellia decides that she wishes to take the courses best suited to being an Auror, despite having no actual interest in the profession. In part, the course choices are due to her eldest brother's influence in her life. She chooses to completely drop Arithmancy, Astronomy, and History of Magic, leaving her NEWT roster as Charms, Defense Against the Dark Arts, Divination, Herbology, Potions, and Transfiguration.
1886: Socellia has returned to Hogwarts for a final time, eager to complete her schooling and participate in the Hogwarts Coming Out Ball at the end of the year.
