I am given to believe by my nanny that Miss Viola Riley received a bit of strife at the hands of my two boys recently, and I must apologize most ardently for any disquiet they caused her. I am a firm believer that even children must be held accountable for their actions, and so I would welcome you and Miss Viola to dinner on Thursday next. I will have a small party present which you are welcome to attend, and I would wager that, after apologies have been sufficiently doled out, Nanny could watch your daughter until you elected to retire.

I was also made aware of the incident with the children, and, while I must assure you that Viola has recovered well enough, I remain terribly grateful that you should take the matter so seriously - I cannot imagine there is any end to your responsibilities! Though I am sure your boys did not really mean any harm, I do think it important to set an example for the children, and should be an equally valuable lesson to my daughter lest the situation ever repeat itself in reverse. Therefore, my daughter gladly accepts your invitation - and, if it is truly no inconvenience, I too shall happily attend.
