    Dear Valerian,

I see... Well... You could always do what most men seem to do.

    Which is nothing.

Where did she come from anyhow?

    With love,

    Mother

Thanks, Rune, for another beauteous set <3

Dear Mother,I can't just leave my daughter out in the world without a father. I know what it's like to grow up without a father and it really isn't pleasant. Trust me. There are a lot of resentment issues. You remember that prostitute you hired for me for my eighteenth birthday? That's where she came from.Yours, Rian

    Dear Valerian,

I think your father may simply attract resentment. He has mine also and I certainly was not raised by him. Or not raised by him, as the case may be.

Oh dear, that little waif of a girl was is her mother? Well is this not quite the predicament! You have not met the little creature yet, have you?

    Mother

Dear Mother,Even though that might be the case, I am well enough aware of the fact an absentee father can cause problems for children later in their lives. I don't want Ri to have to feel that way, or to get picked on because she doesn't have a dad when clearly she could have one.Yes, I have met her and she's darling. She's a rather energetic and enthusiastic four year old. She has my dark, curly hair and my dark eyes, as well. She looks just like a Macnair/Lestrange.Yours, Rian

    Dear Valerian,

I think her mother being a prostitute might be more of a concern to her peers than an absent father, but I digress.

I hope you are not suggesting you wish to marry the girl? I might have thought her a pretty little thing at the time but there is a difference between pretty and marriageable.

By the way, do you not think your cousin is quite the picture of beauty?

Just remember, Son, we cannot play the hero all the time. Some things we have to let go for the better, even if it may not seem like it at the time.

    Mother

Dear Mother,She's not a prostitute anymore, Mother. She works as a maid for Alice Lovegood at the Three Broomsticks. Alice is an upper class young woman and she's given Fantine and Ri a place to stay and to work so that she didn't have to continue her life as a prostitute. Even once she found out that she was with child, she left that lifestyle and after Ri was born, she became a wet nurse.Yes, this is all true. I've had people check it out to ensure I wasn't falling for any ridiculous traps.I am not suggesting any sort of marriage to anyone. I would like to be a part of my daughter's life, however, and for her to know that I am her father. She's a sweet thing; you would absolutely love and adore her if you met her. I'm thinking about inviting Fantine and Ri over for tea this weekend, and I expect you to be on your best behavior.I believe all of my cousins are quite wonderful. They are all from the Lestrange blood, after all. That being said, you know that I take your advice very seriously and I think a lot about my decisions before making them. Your advice weighs heavily on many of the decisions I make with my life, but I cannot feel like a man if I don't take care of my family- even if that family was a mistake.Yours, Rian

    Dear Valerian,

You are far too noble for your own good. You certainly did not inherit that from your father. I suppose I cannot argue with such reasonableness, however. Is she a very intelligent child? What of animals? Does she like animals? Of course I only ask because she certainly could not be related if she does not like them. Not curiosity or any thing of that nature.

    Does she like insects?

    Mother
