It wasn't often that Zinnia really spent time away from the shop, especially not when so many balls were going on. It usually meant a ton more work and Zinnia never liked to disappoint, especially if her floral arrangements were the ones being requested. But, they'd opted to go to the picnic and enjoy a little break in the afternoon.

Daffy and Zinn and meandered off to where the games were available and decided to try their hands at croquet. It wasn't something that Zinn had played much before but she at least had the basics figured out, unlike her younger sister.

Leaning on her croquet mallet, she yawned as she watched her sister examining her own mallet. "You do realize we can't be here all day," she said a bit idly, not actually trying to sound rude, "We need to get back to the shop to finish up some of the orders."

A picnic! How delightful!

Daff had been more than eager to investigate the picnic in Irvingly this afternoon and when Zinnia had suggested croquet, Daff had quickly agreed. There was only one problem, she actually had no idea how to play!

They were given a quick rundown of the rules and her sister seemed to have caught on rather quickly, but Daffy was not known to be particularly coordinated, or athletic in any way, shape or form. This would be fun!

Even watching Zinnia with the mallet, Daff still couldn't quite grasp the concept- literally or figuratively. With her head tilted to the side, investigating her grip, she eyed the ball carefully and swung- missing completely. "I fear we may miss them as we may in fact be here all day!" She mused with a light giggle.
