With Minister Urquart's blessing, I will be running for Minister of Magic. I wanted to let you know first; I'll be sending letters to everyone else shortly. The Prophet will know within the next week, so I'll be keeping it in-family until then.
    Cheers,

    Ross,
This may be the only positive news we've had all summer. Of course I was very sorry to see Minister Urquart go, but I'm glad to hear he supports you. Obviously, I do as well!

What does Roslyn think of all this? I daresay she never imagined she might aspire to be the Minister's wife. Not that I don't think she'd make an admirable one, at that, but who on earth could have predicted?

I'll let everyone who is still at home know over dinner tonight, provided you haven't written to them already.

Roslyn isn't entirely thrilled at the prospect of being the Minister's wife - but we've discussed it, and she thinks it's the best option for Britain. I've never really imagined myself as minister, either. Thank you for telling everyone, of course.

The Prophet will announce on the 9th.
    Cheers,
    J. Ross

    Ross,
I'm sure Roslyn will adjust, if things go well. Best of luck, and I hope you won't hesitate to tell me if there's anything at all I can do to help your run.
