So What'd I Miss?

Uncle H,

I hope you've heard the news already, or I'm afraid this letter might be quite a shock. The people here said there was to be something in the paper and I've had an owl from Evander so I assume it's come out.

In any case, I am not, as previously believed, dead. We (myself & Paul Pince, an archaeologist who has been with me these past years) arrived in America a few days ago and the MACUSA has had us jumping through hoops ever since. We've finished with all of that, though, and are going to arrive tomorrow (17th) by portkey. I tried to write my mother when we first got back to civilization but the owl came back today with my note still in hand. I wonder if you could tell me whether she's moved somewhere? I wanted to tell her the news myself but I daresay she will have heard by now, if Evander is already involved!

Mercutio had written to tell me the wonderful news. I confess, though, that hearing it and seeing it for my own self are two very different creatures. By now, you’ll be back in our fair country. I daresay quite a bit has changed since your departure, never mind your disappearance! Some changes, I think, are best conveyed face to face. As such—would you be free to meet an evening this week at The Three Broomsticks in Hogsmeade? Where even are you staying?

I'm staying with Evander in London, for the moment, and I believe he's probably told me all of the things you were going to. I certainly wouldn't be opposed to meeting you in Hogsmeade, though, if you're still amenable. It's taking a good deal of effort to adjust to being back in England (more than I had imagined). Are you free on the 24th at seven?
