But Enough About You, Let's Talk About Me

    My Darling Nova,

I must assure you that I had nothing to do with that monstrous article about your brothers in this week's issue of Witch Weekly, and if I had known about it I certainly would have warned you. Of course, you mustn't take it too poorly--you yourself were not even mentioned by name, and I'm sure half the people reading didn't even connect the dots, and since I doubt your brothers read the magazine the article can hardly have done them much harm!

But did you read the feature article? You must have, you really must have, because you must have seen my picture right on the cover of the magazine! I really couldn't be happier with how they portrayed me on the front, and the pictures they used for the article itself. It's positively delightful, and that's before you even consider what it means!

Oh, Nova, traveling! I haven't ever been outside the country, you know, except that week we took in Egypt two years ago (which I hardly even count as we were at a resort the entire time and we didn't see anything of the country; I could hardly even get Armando to leave his room), and I've always wanted to travel! Which do you think will be the most exciting place to visit? Oh! And you must tell me what you want for presents, for I'm going to beg and borrow quite a liberal allowance from Armando before I leave and buy nice little things for all my close friends!

    Yours,
    Ophelia

    Dear Ophelia,

I never thought for a second you were behind that malicious article. I have always enjoyed my Witch Weekly subscription, but it troubles me to see my brothers portrayed so unjustly. Hopefully it will be forgotten entirely a couple weeks.

Despite the unpleasantness of that particular article, I did read on and was very pleased to see that you had won. Congratulations are in order, you must be very excited. If I were you, I would be anticipating Venice most eagerly, I have always liked the sound of gondolas instead of carriages. I think the Himalayan mountains might be a close second, however. I wonder how many muggles have mysteriously vanished in those mountains, frozen and forever lost.

I hope to see you before you depart, I haven't seen you in a very long time and you must meet Flavius.

    Yours,
    Nova

    My Darling Nova,

I'm sure it will all be forgotten! How could anyone, having met your lovely brothers, continue to think poorly of them? And it's not as though many voting men will have been swayed by an article in Witch Weekly, so it won't hurt your brother's chances there, I should think!

I expect you won't be out and about yet this month, as you'll still be convalescing? I'll have to come to tea sometime this week if that's the case, I couldn't possibly leave without seeing you!

    Yours,

    Ophelia

    My Dearest Nova,

I know I haven't even given you a chance to respond, but please do say you'll have me over for tea tomorrow afternoon. I've the most exciting news to tell you and I must do it in person, and if you hear it anywhere else before I have a chance to see you I think I'll simply die!

    Yours,
    Ophelia

    Dear Ophelia,

Thank goodness I caught your letter in time.

Of course you may come tomorrow, I hope it is good news that causes such urgency.

    Yours,
    Nova
