To The Management of the Ladies' Club, Rose & Thistle

To The Management of the Ladies' Club, Rose & Thistle:

I am quite disappointed to write this letter, as I have been a member of your club since my debut and have frequently enjoyed the company of your members. It is refreshing to have a place to socialize with one's peers, away from the pressure often provided by male company and, most importantly, away from the world of men. I believe what separates Rose & Thistle from the less exclusive Daughters of Demeter is your commitment to keeping the atmosphere of the club well-suited to a woman of good breeding.

Unfortunately, in the last few months I have found the things that I enjoyed about your establishment severally compromised by the continued inclusion of one Mrs. Antonia Greyback. In my opinion, she ought to have been put on suspension the moment she announced her entry into the world of politics, eschewing everything we ladies hold dear in favor of a rather inappropriate power grab. However, I know that not everyone believes politics ought best to be left to men, and thus have so far held my tongue. After the allegations levied against her in this week's edition of Witch Weekly, however, I can no longer overlook her continued membership in Rose & Thistle. I believe I am not alone in saying that no lady who values her reputation would now be seen with her, and in fact I believe anyone who does not actively avoid her company is putting her own future (and, if applicable, that of her unmarried sisters or her children) very much at risk, and it is unconscionable that you would continue to inflict her company on your faithful members.

Unless something is done in regards to Mrs. Greyback's membership, I shall be resigning my own membership at Rose & Thistle immediately, and hope that anyone I have had occasion to call a friend will do the same.

    Sincerely,

    Miss Ophelia Dippet
