"Are you always this forward?" He asked teasingly since it would be a very short thread if he just ignored her entirely. — Tobin Cartwright in Take A Peek
Did you know? Churchgoers and worshippers had to endure a foul stench during prayers due to the amount of bodies often stored within the vaults of churches and chapels.
Back in London. It doesn't seem to have improved much since the last visit. I'm staying a night or two here and then Flooing to Hogsmeade. I hate Portkeys; when I come home I insist on Apparating. I've never had issues before and if you insist I shall do it in shorter trips. Perhaps through Iceland and Canada to get over the ocean? If I need to I shall Apparate on to a boat; no more portkeys.
Arrived safely today and met up with Mr. Cavanaugh. I'll be staying with him for a bit. Meeting up with the British Ministry on Monday morning. Try not to worry too much, I'm sure I'll be home soon.
There really isn't anything I care to say about London. It's not half so grand as Paris. The entirety of England is just one big mass of rain and awful food and it's all quite English. At least here in Hogsmeade perhaps there will be some good Irish whiskey to be found somewhere.
The folk at the Ministry don't seem too bad. Maybe a bit high-brow, but they're the English, it's to be expected. Cav sends his love back to you, too. I'm enjoying staying here but have posted an ad looking for rooms to rent, in case I start to grate on his nerves. We may be able to see a Quidditch game while I'm here. I forget, do you like Quidditch?
You didn't really expect me to only be gone a week? I said "soon," but these things take time, Kitten. Especially with the English. I promise I shan't stay longer than I need to, but you can't expect me to work the entire time without rest. I shall go to the Quidditch game with Cav in a few days; nothing shall be going on in the Ministry on a Saturday, anyway.
Sorry to hear about the measles, but I'm sure she'll recover soon. If you're worried buy a health potion, but don't take her to that doctor; Peggy hates the doctor's office and you'll only scare her. I'm sure it's nothing serious.
I told you she'd be fine. Glad to hear the baby wasn't sick. That's what you really have to be careful of, the babies. Peggy's tough as nails. Well, the baby's tough, too (he's a Kydd after all) but he is just a baby still.
Can't write much; about to leave for the Quidditch game. Stay well and all.
