I thought I ought to let you know, our father and I do not exactly see eye to eye on the subject of his new bride, which I am sure doesn't surprise you.
For the foreseeable future, I have decided not to visit home any more. Of course, I would hate for my conflict with Father to hurt our relationship, or my relationship with Merrit. Whenever possible I would like to encourage you to come and visit me at my flat, or to let me by you lunch on Hogsmeade weekends.

Dearest Mag,

These are terrible news, Mag! I wish you and Papa could get along better. Did that woman say or do anything to make you take this decision? I would hate to know that the first thing she did after marrying father was ruin our family!

I suppose it would be better if you didn't see each other for a while, though. That way you wouldn't fight so often.

I love to visit you on my Hogsmeade Weekends as well. Perhaps we could have lunch together at the Three Broomstick on the March one, unless Papa has really important plans for that day.

I don't want to sew discord by telling tales. Just know that I will not be at home any more. In my view, we do not have a step-mother, and I will not acknowledge that woman as such.

What date in March? I don't know my schedule immediately, of course, because there's no telling how the try-outs for the World Cup will go, but no matter what my life is like, I will make time for lunch with you.
