In Character
Full Name: Sir William Naylor
Nicknames: Willie to his smoking buddies, Sir William to everyone else, though he does have a terribly habit of telling debutantes to call him Willie with an accompanying wink.
Birthdate: 27th April, 1813.
Current Age: 70.
Occupation: Sir William has never worked a day in his life. His father was a baronet, and his son inherited his title and his considerable fortune the moment he came of age. Sir William neer fails to point out his title when speaking to an attractive woman, young or old.
Hogwarts House: Hufflepuff.
Wand: 13" oak with a basilisk fang core, Sir William's wand often fails to rise to the occasion, which is a funny coincidence, as Sir William's first wife said the same thing about him.
Blood Status: Pureblood.
Social Class: Middle Class.
Family:
Sir William Naylor, father, deceased.
Lady Elizabeth Naylor, mother, deceased.
Miss Meredith Naylor, paternal aunt, deceased.
Euphemia Naylor nee Foxton, former wife.
Appearance: Age has undoubtedly caught up with Sir William: his hair is grey and balding and his eyes, sunken, but he still cuts an impressive figure; tall, and by no means portly, he still possesses some of the charm that once impressed so many women. He is right handed.
History: Sir William Naylor was born in 1813, the only child and heir of Sir William Naylor I, a pureblood wizard and baronet. His mother was Elizabeth Naylor nee Kidston, a beautiful woman who his father had married when she was practically still a child. He showed his first signs of magic when he was ten, a late bloomer but that was no surprise: William was a particularly lazy boy, and remained lazy throughout his time at Hogwarts, achieving mediocre grades and nursing no ambition. His parents died in a nasty accident the old man has never liked to talk about, and nobody is entirely sure when they died, although it happened during his tenure at Hogwarts as following the accident William lived with a spinster Aunt who had a great deal of money and nobody to leave it to, and when William came of age he inherited her fortune as well as the fortune his parents had left behind. He was briefly married in 1839, but they divorced a mere year later because his young wife found William æintolerable to live with' and was able to confidently prove the marriage had not been consummated. Be that as it may, William did not lack for female company, and spent the majority of their brief marriage seducing other women instead. He had a particular fondness for married women. Sir William spends the majority of time at the London home he inherited from his father, but now he is older he has begun to find that women are no longer as receptive to his æcharms' as they once were. He wants a wife, and where better to find one that in the magical community of Hogsmeade?
Personality: He may be 70 years old, but Sir William is still a cad, and though he intends to make a honest woman of the lady he chooses to marry, it will not be a particularly romantic courtship. He is something of an eccentric, and his brash, forthright manner has not earned him any fans, but he is, above all, a lonely man seeking companionship in the later years of his life, and for the right woman he may well change his ways.
