Appearance:

• Bhreagh has always been a pretty girl, and doesn’t feel at all vain in saying it. At five feet and one inch in height, her long blonde hair falls to her waist when not bound. Bhreagh’s body does not have an overabundance of curve, but it’s plain that she has a woman’s form. She’s blessed with her mother’s green eyes and her father’s nose, and her cheerful nature means there’s often a wide grin on her face. She dresses simply, as her station would demand, but likes to don floral dresses on special occasions. She is right-handed.

History:

• 1864 | Bhreagh is the first child born to Angus and Aileen McLeod, gamekeeper and housekeeper on a MacFusty estate. Both are a bit old for first time parents, having not married until the year before.
  
  1865 | Just thirteen months after Bhreagh’s arrival, the two have a son, called Euan.
  
  1868 | In January, baby Effie is born. That summer, Bhreagh’s first act of magic is to levitate a fish out of the pond. She is quite distressed when that accidentally kills it.
  
  1869 | In February, Angus is eaten by a dragon. Whoops.
  
  1871 | The McLeod’s go to Edinburgh for a time, which the children consider quite a treat. Before long, though, they realize that their mother is pregnant, and it is not until after baby Seamus is born that they return home.
  
  1874 | The family goes back to Edinburgh, returning when Aileen has birthed baby Shona.
  
  1875 | Bhreagh goes to school—the same year as Mr. MacFusty’s daughter!—on Hogwarts’ first year scholarship; her mother’s employer is kind enough to pay for her supplies. Both girls are sorted into Gryffindor; as excited as Bhreagh is to be in the same house her father was, she wishes she could have gotten away from the unpleasant girl.
  
  1876 | Bhreagh returns for her second year, bringing brother Euan with her. He is also sorted into Gryffindor.
  
  1877 | Aileen mentions money problems, and Bhreagh gets it into her head that she should not return to school, to save her mother a galleon or two. Aileen protests, eventually forcing the stubborn girl to return to her studies. Bhreagh picks up Care of Magical Creatures and Earth Magic as her electives.
  
  1879 | With it now being Effie’s turn for school, Bhreagh won’t hear of staying herself—she isn’t ambitious enough to need such schooling, and so doesn’t want to financially burden her mother if she doesn’t need to. She begins working as a maid for Mr. MacFusty. Effie leaves for Hogwarts in September, and is sorted into Ravenclaw.
  
  1880 | Just before Christmas, Aileen takes quite ill; she does not survive the holiday season. It is only in seeing how distressed Mr. MacFusty is that Bhreagh (finally) realizes who must be the father of her half-siblings. The McLeod’s are not just permitted, but encouraged to stay on in the house. Saddened by the loss of his mother, Euan chooses not to return to school after the Christmas holidays.
  
  1882 | In September, Seamus begins school. Bhreagh has little doubt that Mr. MacFusty will allow him to remain there as long as he likes, though she can’t help but feel like she is taking advantage of the family’s hospitality. After some debate, she hands in her notice, and is given a good reference to begin working at the club Atlantis in London/Hogsmeade—the former which she had never visited, and the latter which she had not seen since her third year. Euan goes with her, but finds work a local inn instead. Both make a point of keeping in touch with their siblings, both those at school and Shona still in the Hebrides.
  
  1883 | Bhreagh spends the new year in the Hebrides with her siblings before getting back to business as usual.
