Appearance:

Perpetua stands at 5' 5" tall with an athletic build that has grown slightly stocky with age. She has golden brown eyes and brown hair that has become heavily streaked with grey. She typically dresses in subdued greens and burgundies and wears her hair up out of her face. She is right-handed.

History:

1824 | Perpetua is born as the third daughter of Benjamin and Penelope.

1827-28 | Twin brothers are born to the family, but one dies shortly after the birth. The other dies before his first birthday. Perpetua only has dim memories of the two.

1835 | Perpetua receives her Hogwarts letter and is sorted into Gryffindor. She is boisterous and energetic, occasionally earning her rebukes from her professors.

1838-42 | She joins the Gryffindor Quidditch team as a chaser and makes a name for herself on the pitch. She attracts the attention of the Holyhead Harpies and joins the team as a chaser after her graduation.

1842 - 1845 | She performs well with the Harpies and can't imagine doing
anything else with her life. She meets Lawrence through one of her teammates, however, and they hit it off immediately. After a long courtship, they marry in 1845 and Perpetua leaves the Harpies, though the team will always hold a special place in her heart.

1846 | Their first son, Gregory, is born.

1850 | Benjamin is born.

1850 - 1855 | Though they were a loving family, when Lawrence's business went under life was difficult for the Creightons. By the time Lawrence died in 1855, Perpetua and her sons were all but in the gutter. She was stricken with grief after his death, but could not let herself brood over it - she did have two sons to care for, after all.

1857 | Perpetua finally swallowed her pride and asked her father for help after she had been struggling on her own for nearly two years. Instead of sending her money or having her live with him, her father arranged a marriage with Huxley Collins, who agreed to marry her with the promise of an inheritance instead of a dowry. Perpetua enjoys a good chuckle when she hears of the arrangement, knowing how resilient the men of her family can be. She and Huxley marry by the end of the year, though the man is far too prideful for Perpetua to ever really warm to him.

1858 | Perpetua and Huxley have their first child, Isabella, by all accounts a beautiful baby.

1860 | Another girl, Cordelia, joins the family.

1862 | Perpetua gives birth to another girl. They name her Desdemona.

1864 | Gregory graduates and finds a position at the Ministry.

1866 | Yet another girl, Cressida, is born. Perpetua loves all of her daughters, but can't help but take some satisfaction with Huxley's frustration at the lack of a male heir. Huxley then decides that all the girls have at most two seasons to be married, otherwise they will have to begin supporting themselves.

1868 | Benjamin graduates and becomes a Spell Damage Intern.

1869 | Huxley is (inappropriately, in Perpetua's opinion) ecstatic to learn that fate has finally given him a son, Florizel. In September, Bella departs to Hogwarts and is sorted into Gryffindor.

1871 | Cordelia goes to Hogwarts and is sorted into Hufflepuff. Both Gregory and Benjamin move out.

1873 | Desdemona joins Bella in Gryffindor.

1876 | Bella graduates and by the end of the year is Mrs. Isabella Quirell.

1877 | Isabella has her first child, Cornelius. Cressida goes to Hogwarts and is sorted into Ravenclaw.

1878 | Cordelia graduates and has a rather unimpressive season. She decides to follow her passion and becomes a hospital intern.

1879 | Bella has a second son, Sebastian.

1880 | Desdemona graduates and has a rather unsuccessful season. Florizel goes to Hogwarts and is sorted into Gryffindor.

1881 | Bad luck strikes Isabella, when her husband dies and after he wrongly assumes her an adulteress leaves all his belongings and the care of their two children to his cousin, Charles Porter). Charles also takes an Unbreakable Vow to never willingly allow the two children anywhere close to their mother. Though Perpetua is not the type to dote on any of her children, she is sure to give Isabella as much support as she can during her difficult time. Desdemona joins the Holyhead Harpies, making Perpetua proud.

1883 | Cordelia announces that she is engaged to Charles Porter. Goddamn it, Cordelia. Benjamin becomes Hogwarts' Earth Magic professor.

1884 | Cordy and Charles get married. Benjamin gets married. Huxley decides to run for Minister and makes a fool of himself, but luckily he dies of the Laughing Plague so that is short-lived. Pet briefly considers not mourning him, but decides to anyway for appearances. Her father also dies, and she is significantly more upset by that.

1885 | Benjamin dies in the Ministry disaster, leaving his wife with child. In June, Desdemona gets engaged to Art Pettigrew, and Perpetua once again begins to question her hands-off parenting style.

Personality:

Dry humor. Troll. Emotionally distant, but loves all of her children in her way. Fiercely independent. Practical. Stubborn.
