Charming is a Victorian Era Harry Potter roleplay set primarily in the village of Hogsmeade, Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry, and the non-canon village of Irvingly. Characters of all classes, both magical and muggle — and even non-human! — are welcome.

    My Dearest Evelyn,


    I regret to inform you that I will staying at Hogwarts for the holidays. It is with a heavy heart and a heavier hand that I write to tell you that I must stay for the progression of my research. I will be a great asset for the students staying – we have many this year – as well as for the newer professors in our staff. Well acquainted with my being needed at the school over the holidays, I am sure your household will only benefit from my continued absence. Please make sure our bed is kept warm while I am gone; I will be back for a short visit after I see Balthy and family when I have the time, if I have the time. The children’s gifts will arrive the morning of gift-giving via our family owl. I will share my gift with you in the flesh. Please make my excuses to our youngest.

    Time is surely our enemy, there’s naught ‘nough of it to go around.
