Appearance: Perfectly average at 5'6", unassuming is a word that describes Prometheus well. His hair his neat, his clothes are the latest fashion, (or as close to it as he can get, given his monetary situation,) and his looks (though not unattractive) are largely unnoteworthy. He has dark hair and blue eyes.
History: 1850: Prometheus is born, the last child of Philbert and Bellona Yaxley. He is a quiet, fairly easy child.
1851: Though Theus is too young to remember it later, this is the year that Anthe goes to Hogwarts.
1854: Prometheus' eldest sister, Pandora, finishes her Hogwarts schooling. In September, Daphnis goes to Hogwarts.
1857: Prometheus displays magic (rather belatedly) by changing the color of the pattern on a pair of gloves. Titan finishes his Hogwarts schooling.
1858: Anthe finishes her Hogwarts schooling.
1859: Rhea goes to Hogwarts, leaving Prometheus the only Yaxley sibling left at their parents' house.
1861: Prometheus is displeased with his birthday, as it means that he will not be able to attend Hogwarts until the next year, and he is quite sick of being alone with his parents and the staff. Daphnis finishes his schooling and goes into the auror program.
1862: Prometheus is finally invited to Hogwarts, where he is sorted into Ravenclaw. Though a bit of an introvert - all of those years of being largely left to his own devices have to factor in somewhere - he does make friends with a few UCPB boys in Ravenclaw or Slytherin.
1864: At the end of his second year, Prometheus selects Care of Magical Creatures and Ancient Studies as his electives. Daphnis dies, murdered by a dark wizard, and Prometheus is not quite sure how to feel about it.
1866: Rhea wraps up her schooling, leaving Prometheus the last Yaxley at Hogwarts.
1867: Prometheus sits his OWLs and performs spectacularly. In the fall, he continues with COMC, Ancient Studies, Charms, History of Magic, and Herbology.
1868: In December, Titan marries Miss Melpomene Lestrange, a girl in Prometheus' own year. (Though not his house.) He is mildly entertained by her being a dropout.
1869: Prometheus finishes his Hogwarts schooling with excellent NEWTs. He is given a two-year contract studying Re'ems as a wizarding naturalist in Nepal.
1870: As part of an experiment, Prometheus takes Re'em blood. He reports to his employers that the stories of it increasing strength are very much true, and the company begins shipping Re'em blood to Great Britain. (Though Prometheus is not involved in this business venture.)
1871: Six months before his contract his up, the management of the company Prometheus works for are all arrested for smuggling non-tradeable goods into the country. Prometheus spends three months milling about Bangladesh doing odd research jobs until money becomes a bit - sparse - and he puts in a bid to study Yeti in Tibet for three years with the International Task Force. (The ITF's goal is to keep them from killing people.)
1871-1874: The thing with Yeti is that they're boring, as you can't study them up close without getting eaten. Prometheus is relieved when his contract expires.
1874-1875: Prometheus studies Kappa in Mongolia.
1875-1876: Prometheus studies his very first Class XXXXX creature in East Africa: the nundu. Though his contract was supposed to be for two years, it expires a year early when one of his co-workers (the self-important son of an Italian Ministry official) is mauled and dies. Prometheus is displeased when it comes out that they will not be paid in full because of the incident, and is left twiddling his thumbs in East Africa until the investigation into the death finally ends in December.
1876: With an extremely disappointing lack of money under his belt, Prometheus applies to a permanent contract with the Antipodean Expedition in New Zealand. He gets the gig and settles in to live in Gisborne, New Zealand.
1878: At the Coming Out Ball for [Oceanic Wizarding school], Prometheus meets Zona Vercoe, the daughter of a contemporary. She is a pretty girl with a sizable dowry and - seeing the opportunity for what it is - Prometheus begins to court her and proposes in November.
1879: Prometheus and Zona marry in January.
1880: On February 1st, Prometheus' first child, Medea Themis Yaxley, is born. Though he is not particularly thrilled by her gender - girls require dowries and pretty dresses and other things that he does not want to buy - she proves to be a quiet girl who takes after her father in terms of personality.
1882: Prometheus is given an heir in the form of Zephyrus Xanthe Yaxley. He is very pleased with his wife. At the end of the year, Zona contracts dysentery.
1883: In March, Zona (finally, as watching her linger was admittedly distressing) dies. In May, Prometheus' paychecks begin to arrive at increasingly later dates - when he tries to get the money one promises in November only to find that there is no money to be gotten from his boss' account, he is pissed. His employer is increasingly pandering but does manage to keep the money coming after some finagling and a large argument.
1884: In January, the Antipodean Expedition's money is finally completely and utterly gone. It is revealed in the papers that Prometheus' employer owes a massive sum of money to international creditors. A week later the man's body is found, stabbed twenty-three times. (Presumably by one of his creditors.) After spending a few weeks scrambling to gather all of his funds, Prometheus relocates the family to Hogsmeade, hoping that he will have luck in the monetary department by publishing his studies (and by seeing what he can re-allocate of the Yaxley clan's familial funds.)
