    Charming, isn't it?

After the quarantine had come into affect in Hogsmeade, the petite blonde had been locked out of the village, which wasn't exactly a bad thing in her book. She hadn't managed to contract the laughing plague unlike some unlucky folks, but instead of sitting at home all day, her family had taken a trip to London.

After arriving, she'd spent some time walking around Diagon Alley, looking in each individual shop for anything that might suit her fancy. She'd gone inside one of the candy shops, but nothing had compared to the sweets that Honeyduke's Sweet Shop had to offer. She'd then tried one of the pet shops, but her parents hadn't allowed her to purchase any of the animals. Finally, she'd gone to Flourish and Blott's under the watchful eyes of her aunt.

She made her way around each of the shelves, her eyes scanning the rows for anything that might pop out to her. She grinned, pulling one of the books about animals off the shelves and attempted to open it. To her dismay, the book flew out of her hand and started ripping its own pages out. Why would such a book be in the store?

The world seemed to be in a right state at the moment. This laughing plague as it had been called had everyone scared. Thankfully thus far no one within George's family had contracted the illness. Although that was due in part to timing and wise decision making. Just before the plague had become a rather big deal. George had decided to head home back to Wales. It was a rather reluctant decision due to the fact that the relationship George shared with his father was rather strained at the moment. The plus side of a visit home was the fact that George was able to see his mother and to see Virginia as well. It felt like it had been years since he saw either of them, his mother especially.

George hated the fact that the situation with his father put a bit of stress on his mother's shoulders. The young Gryffindor wanted to put things right, honestly he did, but he also had to be true to his principles. Even now George believed that the situation concerning his sister was handled poorly, and that she should be given more freedom to live her live. George understood the seriousness of the situation, more than anyone in fact. Over the past year or two George had read up on everything he could about the infliction that plagued his sister. George knew that it could be dangerous, even life threatening if not closed checked. But that still didn't mean to say that Virginia should be treated like a prisoner who should be locked up in Azkaban or something.

Even thought thus far things hadn't boiled over the top just yet between him and his father. George decided that it might be best if he took his sister out on a day trip to London. Not only would it help the tension levels within the Carmichael household, which only seemed to get even thicker now that George's uncle and his family came to stay with them for a period of time while the plague raged on. But it also meant that George could get in a few school supplies for the upcoming term.

After he had spent some time with his sister in Honeyducks sweet shop. George decided to go it alone for a bit, and left his sister trying to decide on a new pair of shoes a few shops down from the book store. George went into the book shop first, and looked over the books he might need for the next term in Hogwarts. While he was studying a book on magical history. George heard a commotion in the aisle next door, and decided to see if he could render any help. By the time George arrived the book had already taken flight, and was just about to nose dive into the woman that obviously had awoken the book from its slumber. With his wand in hand George cast a spell that caused the book to drop to the floor, lifeless and unmoving. He then took a step closer to the woman, and offered her a slight smile as he put his wand back into his cloak. "Are you alright miss? I hope the book hasn't caused you too much stress?" George asked politely and warmly.
