Appearance: It is undeniable that Ambrose is a handsome man. Dark-haired and dark-eyed, he takes after the Nott side of the family as far as appearances go. Ambrose keeps his hair relatively short, but it is just long enough to see the natural curl in his hair. His face is oval, but has a strong jaw. His nose is straight (though it may have been broken at one point) and his lips are neither thin nor full. Tall but slender, Ambrose isn't exactly an imposing man to behold. Whatever he lacks in physique, however, he makes up for it with his brains. Although he doesn’t always dress in the latest fashion, his wardrobe is never outdated and his suits are those that a gentleman of his class should wear. Ambrose is left-handed.

1853 | Ambrose Beauchamp Greengrass was born on Christmas Eve in Delhi, India. He was welcomed into the world by his father, mother, sister and brother.
1855 | Granata gave birth to Ambrose’s younger sister, Amarantha.
1857 | As a result of the Indian Rebellion, Elysium Greengrass and his family quitted India and returned to the Greengrass Estate in Suffolk, England.
1861 | In September, Amrita leaves for Hogwarts. She is sorted into ______.
1862 | Athanasius leaves for Hogwarts. He is sorted into ______.
1865 | Finally, Ambrose joins Amrita and Athanasius at Hogwarts. He is sorted into Ravenclaw.
1866 | Amarantha joins her siblings at Hogwarts. She is sorted into ______.
1865 - 1872 | Ambrose's years at Hogwarts pass peaceably. Quiet and studious, he was often in the shadow of his siblings, who were all more outgoing. Ambrose remained close with his sister Amarantha throughout his years at Hogwarts. He was never particularly close to Amrita or Athanasius.
1872 | In May, he graduated and received an in to the Ministry, thanks to his father’s influence and his own outstanding grades. He began as the Junior Assistant of the Minister.
1874 | In the summer, Ambrose met Miss Benilda Flint at her coming out party. There was an immediate attraction. In the early fall of that year, Ambrose asked her father if he may court Miss Benilda. By December, he had proposed to her.
1875 | In February, Ambrose and Miss Benilda were wed.
1876 | Their first child, Bertram Uriah Greengrass, was born.
1877 | Along with most of the wizarding world, Ambrose and his family relocated to Hogsmeade. Not long after their relocation, Ambrose and Benilda had their second son, Mordecai Leander. Later that year, Ambrose was offered the position of Senior Undersecretary to the Minister of Magic. He happily accepted.
1881 | Ambrose's third child and first daughter, Elvira Helene Greengrass, was born.
1883 | Elysium Greengrass became fatally ill in the summer. The Greengrass children were summoned to the Greengrass Estate (named: Grimwade Bastion) in Suffolk, where Elysium gave his last will and testament. To the Greengrass children’s surprise, Elysium named Ambrose the heir to the Greengrass Estate. This created a bit of a rift between Ambrose and his brother, Athanasius (though it was later discovered that Athanasius already knew of his disinheritance).
Elysium passed in the late fall and his funeral was held in the early winter. Ambrose wrote to the Minister, explaining his situation and formally resigned from his position and Senior Undersecretary. Granata and her children began the mourning process. Ambrose returned to Hogsmeade temporarily to celebrate the Christmas holiday and the New Year with his family. His mother accompanied him.
1884 | A few days after the New Year passed, Ambrose returned with his mother to the Greengrass Estate. Much of Ambrose’s time was spent away from his wife and children during the early spring as he sorted his father’s final affairs and tended to his mother. What was worse was that he has yet to break the news of his inheritance to Benilda and begged his mother not to mention it during their return around New Years. Settling his father’s affairs kept Ambrose away until Spring. He wrote Benilda that he should return home during the second week of May.
Just as promised, Ambrose returned on the second week of May. He then broke the news to his wife and children, explaining that they would be relocating to the Greengrass Estate in Suffolk. Ambrose began to make arrangements for the family’s relocation when the Laughing Plague broke out. Hogsmeade was quarantined and Mordecai caught the Plague. All plans were put on hold until further notice.

Ezra wasn’t kept waiting, for shortly after he knocked the door opened. He could hardly believe his eyes when he saw Abe at the door. It look him a minute because the first thing he saw was her face, which was the same as it always was: beautiful. But then he saw that her wild, willful hair was rather tame and done up in a feminine fashion. After that, he saw the deep green dress she wore. Altogether, she was breathtaking. She looked womanly and fine, but it seemed like she didn’t feel comfortable with herself. He smiled gently at her. She was trying so hard, but it was almost too hard, Ezra thought. Her dress confirmed his suspicions of her insecurities. Still, he couldn’t say he minded seeing Abe dressed like this. Although she was petite, the dress accentuated her beauty and flattered her slender curves. She was absolutely picturesque.
His sweet smile widened at her confession. “Thank you for inviting me,” he answered courteously.
Her shy smile made his heart flutter, revealing that beneath all the fancy folds of her dress and the stylish updo of her hair, she was still Abe.
When she invited him in, he thanked her and entered the large home. The house was warm, but too warm to continue wearing his coat and scarf. He was able to remove his coat and scarf, but his present to her almost got left in the pocket of his coat because she started to haul him along. He quickly dug his hand into the right pocket of his coat and shoved it into his pants pocket before walking contentedly alongside his soon-to-be bride. He saw Freya standing in the room, giggling and grinning, silly like a schoolgirl. He greeted her, wishing her a Merry Christmas.
He looked at his fiancée, waiting for her to take her seat. He wasn’t shy about sitting next to her, though he used to be. He wanted to be as respectful to her as possible and never wanted her to feel he was taking advantage. But she finally said something about it, in her awkward way, and the couple started to sit side by side whenever they could.
Fortunately, Freya wasn’t a mother bent on formalities and allowed the couple to do as they pleased. It was, indeed, alarming how lax she was about things. One time, Ezra could have sworn she was pushing them to consummate before their wedding day. The thought still embarrassed him and a slight blush rose to his cheeks, but he quickly pushed the thought out of his head, recovering with some grace.
