    The start of another cold?

Classes were over for the day. A fact that couldn't have made Less happier. If only because he had started sneezing towards the end of the day and felt that familiar and un-welcomed tickle at the back of his throat that usually heralding an oncoming cold. He knew the signs well enough to know when he was about to get miserably sick once more. Thankfully it meant he knew exactly what to do so that the life of the cold wouldn't last as long as it might have naturally. So he had sent one of the house elfs to get him a cup of soup and a mug of hot tea.

He had plenty of home work to do that night so he simply wrapped up in a blanket with his mug and cup not far from himself and settled in for what was possibly going to be a long night of working out History of magic and charms while sneezing every so often and sipping on his hot liquids. When he started writing things down and filling out questions he had been alone. It didn't surprise him since it was the start of a weekend and most of the Slytherins had better things to do than their homework. Less was one of those types that preferred to do home work first then hang out with the few friends he had later.

He gave his attention completely over to the home work and was mildly surprised when the noise of someone else coming into the common room got his attention. It took a bit of effort to look over his books and notes but when he did a smile curled the edges of his mouth. "I didn't think there would be many people wandering though. Unless it's to change of out school robes. No plans or is that what you were doing? Changing then going back out?" He shoved his quill into his book to save his place so he could lean over and take a huge gulp of his soup. He felt better for roughly a minute after drinking the soup then it wore off and he felt achy all over again. He hated being sick so often.

Novella wasn't really the type to associate with boys as much. As her mother put it, a young lady should never trust a boy who's in her presence without an adult. Some are chivalrous, but most teenage boys worry far too much about impressing a young woman. She honestly felt that rule didn't apply to Mister Burke, though—he was small, scrawny, and constantly sneezing. She'd always been afraid to get near him in fear of getting sick. That sounded a little harsh and uncaring in theory, but in her own mind it was very practical. Besides, she wasn't supposed to hang around young men. But of course, she would be the nice young lady she was and wouldn't be rude.

"No, my clothes are perfectly clean," she started, holding her head high. Why would be robes be dirty? She hadn't even been outside with the exception of Herbology class. "I was actually coming to grab my book for Book Club. I forgot to bring it with me when I went to Divination," she explained, glancing around the room.

A slender eyebrow rose up when he saw whom it was he was speaking with. While he didn't talk to Novella personally he knew of her, much like he knew of most of the Slytherins even if they weren't in his year. Novella seemed to be one of those that avoided him. He wasn't completely sure if it was because he was male and she was female or because like a great many of his year mates she thought he would sneeze on her and get her sick. Truth be told he didn't care to much. Girls were such silly things. He mentally rolled his eyes at her comment before putting a piece of parchment in his book to hold his place. He was still in the middle of doing his charms home work after all.

"Yes but I was under the impression that those with taste change out of their school robes before doing anything." He arched his eyebrow to reinforce his slightly catty comment. "Book club?" He made a face at that and leaned back in his seat. "And what might you and the book club be reading exactly?' He wasn't a member of the book club. Not just because he could only manage one club at time during this time of year. He was in and out of the Hospital Wing because of the chilly temperatures. "Who chaperons that club anyhow?" He lightly ran finger tips over the edge of his paper as he glanced to Novella, curiosity showing in his expression. Well he was both curious and nosy. From what he understood there was actually an all female section of the book club and an all male section. He could hardly image the female members reading anything interesting though.
