My Father Will Hear About This

Father,

I normally would have approached my house's head or house matron if another student was causing me distress, but right now I feel that the school is not on my side at all! There was a half-vampire amongst this year's firsties, father! I half vampire! He didn't even try to conceal it. He openly admitted to his father being a vampire, and he puts his canines on display! And the worst is that he was also sorted into Slytherin.

His presence here makes me fear about my safety and I plead that you do something about it, father! If you and enough other parents write the school then maybe they will remove him from Hogwarts. I don't even feel safe in my own house's common room, let alone outside of it!

I must apologize for my delay in response; I fear your letter became lost on my desk soon upon arrival, but I am replying to you immediately having read it.

I can certainly understand why you would feel concerned, for I would feel similarly if I were to wear your shoes. The way he flaunts his condition is truly reprehensible, for this new student must be aware of the discomfort he causes, and do so anyways. I do not, however, believe that he is a physical risk to you, and so am hesitant to write the headmaster.

Please do not for a second to take this to mean I do not worry about your troubles, and if this vampire half-vampire does anything else of concern—at all—please do not hesitate to inform me.
