Gingerbread house begins to crumble
owner insists it is still for sale |
Last week, Bartonburg residents awoke to discover their neighbor's home transformed into gingerbread. Today, just one week later, there are reports that the structure is already beginning to crumble. According to neighbors, few people have been seen approaching the house to accept the homeowner, Mr. Allan Zograf's offer to sell pieces of it. However, what has been taken so far seems to have had an adverse effect on the structure. Neighbors were awoken early this morning to the sound of a loud crash, and to the sight of a large slab of--they say--poorly transfigured gingerbread that seemed to originate from the roof. _____________________________________________________________ |
Mr. Zograf, when reached for comment, said, "It was perhaps a bad idea to beginning chipping away from the bottom, but I know better now! I'm still anxious to sell, so people shouldn't be discouraged!" The supposed buyers could not be located, though several transfiguration experts who have had time to observe the house are warning that it might not be safe for human consumption.
