1790. Lennor is born the last child and only son of Herbert and Hilda Callum. He is a rather weak baby, and most assume he won't last long. He defies this expectation, out of what his mother refers to as sheer spite.Personality:
1793. Anne proves to be a squib, to the general horror of the family. Out of the "kindness" of her heart, Hilda doesn't turn the girl out, but does use her like a personal secretary, and refers to her in public like one might a servant.
1795. Agnes leaves for Hogwarts, and is sorted into Slytherin.
1797. Wilhelmina leaves for Hogwarts, and is sorted into Slytherin. Lennor's grandfather drops dead rather suddenly in late September, leaving everything to Hilda, and the family moves into Callum House in London.
1799. Sheer terror at being a squib like his sister is probably what causes Lennor's first sign of magic, at last. He manages to blow up his mother's most expensive vase. That year at Christmas, a very drunk Hilda confesses to the nine year old boy that she deeply regrets not simply killing him when he was born and trying again for a less useless son.
1801. Lennor leaves for Hogwarts, and is downright horrified when the Sorting Hat places him in Hufflepuff. He tries to wrestle the hat from the next student to make it choose again, and receives his first detention for his troubles.
1802. Herbert dies. It makes little difference to anything, except that they're all in mourning and there's an extra seat at the dining table. Also, Agnes graduates. She spends most of the summer lamenting that she can't have a season.
1803. Agnes debuts, and is soon courted and married by the next spring. For his third year, Lennor chooses Divination and Arithmancy for his electives.
1804. Wilhelmina graduates, and mirrors Agnes' success in finding a husband.
1805. After a prank goes terribly wrong and possibly blinds a classmate, Lennor is pulled from Hogwarts virtually moments before he is officially expelled. Lennor is less remorseful and more annoyed that he will now spend all of his days secluded at home with his mother and Anne. And the tutor his mother hires.
1807. Anne runs off with a muggle and Hilda is so angry she burns everything Anne leaves behind. Though one of their neighbors witnesses a little of the magic this requires, and suffers a fatal heart attack from the shock. This does cheer her somewhat.
1808. Lennor has what he thinks is a very pleasant affair with the footman, and he believes he's gotten away with it until his mother announces at breakfast one day that she has begun looking for a betrothal for him. Oh dear.
1809. Hilda strong arms Lennor's dying uncle into betrothing his cousin, Martha, to him. Lennor had thought he'd have a few years at least, but no, his cousin is both older than him--albeit by a few months--and a widow already. On the plus side, she is also an heiress, and not the worst.
1810. Lennor marries Martha the day after her mourning period ends, which he thinks shows unusual restraint for his mother. He then proceeds to spend the next seven years bedding his wife a grand total of five times.
1818. Margaret is born. It's a bit disappointing that she's a girl, but Lennor's happy enough to leave everything to a daughter if need be, so he takes this as an excuse to never touch his wife again. She doesn't seem too bothered.
1823. Martha dies from some sort fever, and Lennor is surprised by how sorry he is about this. He didn't exactly love his wife, but she'd been an exceedingly patient--even pleasant--woman. His mother determines that Lennor is hopeless at parenting on his own, and whisks Margaret away. He is actually relieved. Also around this time, Lennor discovers that he isn't the absolute worst at investing, which is good because the idea of having a real job makes him queasy.
1829. Margaret leaves for Hogwarts, and is sorted into Slytherin.
1835. Hilda finally dies. Lennor spends her dying day ignoring letters from his daughter imploring him to come see his dying mother, and drinking his best alcohol in celebration. It is the best day of his life. Also he moves into the house he inherits and orders most of his mother's things to be thrown out or sold before her body is even buried.
1836. Margaret marries William Everett. Lennor is relieved to have her out of the house, and also that he saved money on giving her a debut.
1837-1850. Lennor gains seven grandchildren, but little else of note actually happens. He does, however, decide that Peter is his favorite grandchild after Margaret decides he's the worst.
1860. Lennor contracts spattergroit, but doesn't die. Probably out of spite. He accidentally gives it to Agnes, though, when she visits, and she does die. Whoops.
1862. He contracts pneumonia, and again, doesn't die.
1863. He gets dragon pox. Because of course he does. He also accidentally gives it to Wilhelmina, who foolishly visits, and she dies.
1866. Lennor doesn't know what he gets, but it involves erupting in boils all over his body. They all have to be painfully lanced, but he survives. Again. At least this time he's out of sisters to accidentally kill.
1868. An ingrown toenail becomes infected, and eventually they have to remove the whole toe.
1870. At long last, tuberculosis is finally what does Lennor in. Also, possibly a housemaid who was secretly poisoning his tea. He does give her such a shock when he appears as a ghost that she faints and hits her head quite hard. He can't be bothered to find help, so she dies, and this makes him feel a little better about also being dead.
The idea of haunting his house when his daughter moves in is worse than death, so Lennor instead haunts his favorite grandson.
1877. The wizarding community at large--and his daughter and son-in-law in particular--move to Hogsmeade, and Lennor takes the opportunity to again haunt his old home. It's very pleasant with just a house elf for company, though eventually Antony moves in, but this is less terrible when Lennor realizes they both hate the young man's mother in equal measure. They bond.
1884. Plague and fire don't claim anyone Lennor hates, which is the real tragedy of this year, but his son-in-law dies in December.
1886. Margaret's house burns down and she moves back to London. Lennor is gone before she even sets foot through the door. He has instead decided to ensconce himself in the Museum of Magical Miscellany, though he's never shown an interest in anything remotely intellectual in his entire existence.
