Studying had never been difficult to the girl, even though she hadn't attended a muggle school before coming to Hogwarts. Her governess had been perfectly capable in teaching Flora practical study skills and proper time management before they'd even gotten on the train!

What she did know, however, was that not all students were blessed with such a teacher. Some students hailed from the lower class, where they were lucky if they had a good enough grasp on English to write an essay, and some had horrid childhoods that obstructed their learning time. She hoped this student wasn't one of them.

"So tell me, darling," she said, shifting through the textbooks the younger student had laid out on the desk. "What sort of assignment or class are you having difficulty in? I'm positively sure I can be of service to you." ... as long as it wasn't Potions, at least. Perhaps she could be of help with some of the easier potions that she'd finally mastered after three years of attending Hogwarts, but Merlin bless her if she was able to master the third year potions! Her OWL would be a nightmare.
