Appearance:

Zora is a rather petite woman, standing at a mere 4’11”, though remains curvy where she claims it “fits her best”. Atop her head grows very dark brown, seemingly black, short hair that is accompanied by rigid brows of a lighter shade and similarly colored eyes. Her fashion sense rarely extends beyond standard wizarding garb, though she enjoys collecting various assortments of shoes that create an illusion of increased height. Her preferred hand is her left.

History:

1862 | Zora is born to parents Fletcher and Patience, preceded by twin brothers Cormac and Ethan and sister Orpha.
1863 | The twins head off to Hogwarts and are sorted into Slytherin.
1867 | Orpha begins her schooling and is sorted into Hufflepuff. Zora exhibits her first signs of magic by levitating a kitten down from a tree after several failed attempts at climbing the base.
1870 | The twins become unspeakables after graduating.
1871 | Just a few years until Zora is to head off to the castle, her father has a heart attack. She is glad that he survived, but fears a larger one may take his life down the road.
1873 | Though not another heart attack, Fletcher again suffers a near death experience - a bad case of dragon pox. Zora begins to suspect that someone may be tampering with his health, however with no credible leads, she refrains from investigating.
1874 | Within the summer months, she receives her letter and come the start of the term, Zora joins her peers at the castle. She is sorted into Ravenclaw. Orpha also debuts.
1875 | Zora hears word of yet another accident with her father. In the midst of her studies, she cannot be by his side, however sends a few letters.
1876 | For her electives, she picks Divination, CoMC, and Earth Magic. Unfortunately, her fun at the castle had quickly diminished with a “surprise!murder” of her father. Deeply saddened, she takes some time to mourn and, oddly, finds Ethan’s company to be somewhat pleasing. Perhaps this was due to her emotional state, though she failed to doubt any intentions otherwise and accepted it.
1877 | Orpha marries.
1879 | Her OWLs go swimmingly - She achieves mostly O’s and E’s, though does relatively poorly in Earth Magic thus decides to drop it. She continues with Charms, CoMC, DADA, Divination, HoM, Potions, and Transfiguration. In order to accommodate this schedule, she refrains from joining in any extracurriculars and instead obsesses over mystery novels.
1881 | Zora completes her schooling which yielded undesired results, however she shrugged this off as they were not the forefront of her interests. Regardless, she debuts into society and fails to garner a man due to her lofty requirements. Instead, she focuses on her novels and becomes oddly obsessed over them. Zora and her mother move to Hogsmeade under the impression that being closer to the one “good” son could bring them happiness. Instead, it just confuses her.
1884 | Oh poor Orpha - she passes as a result of the laughing sickness and with baby no less. Zora puts aside her text to grieve and realizes how she has wasted her life thus far by immersing herself in fictional universes. The moments in which she does read are now at a normal rate and she makes it a point to engage with society a smidge more.
1885 | Zora has tea with an old friend and finds out that the woman’s owl has escaped and is lost. She takes the case on subconsciously and heads out of the house daily to search, eventually finding the bird perched on a tree relatively close to the beautiful beast boutique where a man was feeding it scraps. She writes to her friend and, after feeling quite accomplished with herself, decides that indulging in her passion wasn’t at all a bad thing, just something that had to be dealt with in moderation.
1886 | The year has been treating her well, though she can’t say she is completely content without having a man to share her time with. She wishes to find someone with similar interests but perhaps in a professional setting as opposed to her freelance operations. She has an ideal image of this man within her mind and refuses to accept anything failing to fit this mold.

Personality:

A woman of many quirks, Zora can typically be found buried in the latest mystery novel or helping a friend/stranger figure out where their lost child has run off to. She associates herself with those belonging to at least the middle class, as she believes the poor to be too dangerous to approach, and tries to steer clear of social events unless the whole family is attending. She is very inquisitive by nature and enjoys problem solving, refraining from abandoning a “case” until she has fully solved it. As such, she isn’t one to let things go and will constantly stew about awry interactions until she confronts the issue head on. She has no issue with socializing, however is often kept to herself.
