Appearance: Madam Travers is a woman who has entered into her early elderly years, looking to be in her 70's. She has short, graying brown hair that she keeps in a bun. She stands about 5'1", with a fit looking physique for a woman her age. Her eyes are blue, but appear to be slowly changing into a blue-silver with age. She is right wand-handed. She always appears to wear modest clothing befitting a Muggle governess or nanny.
History:
1810 - Born on August 27th, to Halfblood Charles Goff and Pureblood Helen  Goff (née Prewett), in Devonshire, England.
1821 - At age 11, she begins study at Hogwarts School of Witchcraft and Wizardry. She is sorted in Hufflepuff, and appears to have talents in Charms and Transfiguration
1828 - Graduates from Hogwarts, having passed her NEWTs in Transfiguration, Charms, and Arithmancy
1829 - She begins working in the wizarding equivalent of a governess / nanny for her cousins in the pureblooded Prewett family.
1831 - She marries pureblood Albert Travers
1832 - She gives birth to twin boys.
1837 – The birth of a younger daughter
1841 - Her services as a wizarding governess are transferred to another wizarding family, serving twenties years with this family
1862 - She retires from her role as governess, following the death of her husband from the ailment known as Dragon Pox.
1879 - She moves from Devonshire to the newly founded, all wizarding village of Hogsmeade, taking up permanent residence there.
1883 - She applies for the vacant occupation of Caretaker at her alma mater, Hogwarts.
Personality: Madam Travers is very grandmotherly figure when it comes to the students of Hogwarts, and children in general. She exhibits many of the traits of her former House, Hufflepuff. She is kind, patient, and puts high value on hard work. She is usually of a good humor, having a liking of good natured humor. However, she can appear to be very stern when comes to situations that she deems unfair, or when students are breaking the rules. In line with her sense of fairness, she delivers out fair punishments for rule-breakers in relation to their transgressions. She is also very protective of younger students, offer them a place in her office if they need a safe place away from bullies.
Sample Roleplay Post:
Madam Travers walks along the hallways of Hogwarts castle, wand lit by Lumos. It was nighttime, and it was her duty to usher students back into bed if they were caught.  In one hand, she held her rosewood wand, still floral scented like the tree that bore its wood. In the other was the hand of a first year who had sleepwalked out of her dormitory. With a very grandmotherly stride in her step, she brought the young girl back to her dorm, even going so far as to tuck her back into bed before returning to her duties.
