An aspect of her appearence that katherine really isn't happy about it her birthmark on her shoulder which is darker than the rest of her skin and has no real shape to it.
History:
Katherine was eleven when they came to Hogsmeade. Her parents saw it as bright, sparkling opportunity to make money and finally improve the way they lived. They ran a small bakery and shared the room upstairs. However, the business was not as popular as they thought it would be and thei circumstances haven't changed a great deal. They still live in the damp cottage with little money to pay the rent or to buy food.
This is the main reason why the two girls, Heather and Katherine, did not go to Hogwarts. The other reason was that their parents believed it was a waste of their money and preferred to save up for Josephs education. Once Dorothy and Michael Eakins decided she was ready, Heather was sent to the Maison De Venus to help support her family and to bring some more money to the household and pay for Josephs education.
A little before her sixteenth birthday, Dorothy and Michael Eakins decided that Katherine was also ready to join her sister as a prostitute. Katherine was at first nervous but after talking with her sister and seeing the kind of life she leads, Katherine is happy to become a prostitute. Still a virgin, Katherine is awaiting her first time with a man.

Time waited for no man and certainly not for Katherine. Would it hurt? Would it hurt a lot? She was scared that the answer would be yes.
