    Dearest Lala,

Hello Duckling, I hope this finds you doing well and staying out of trouble. I was writing to see if you would like to accompany me on a little adventure next Saturday during my Hogsmeade visit? Perhaps we can rope Senna or Thistle into going with us. It's nothing too exciting, but I should like to pick up some sweets for a friend of mine who has an upcoming birthday. I would also like to put together a little pot of plants for her. I could use your help with either one, what do you think?

    Give everyone my love.
    Fondly,
    Daff

    Daffy,

Oh, I am so glad to hear from you, Daffy! Do not worry, I have gotten in no more trouble than normal, though I did unintentionally give the governess a slip the other day. We went to the Padmore Park, and I did not mean to slip away but they had a zoo with so many animals! They were all so pretty and many of them were very friendly - they would come right up to you and let you pet them! Do not worry, though, nothing came of it and we were reunited quite quickly.

Next Saturday? I would love to accompany you then! I'm sure mother and father will have no complaints with it. Senna and Thistle too? Oh please do ask them, Daffy! I would love to see you all again together! As for my assistance, I would love to help you in whatever way I am needed, though I am quite certain you could do quite well on your own. After all, you do have many more years of experience that I do with flowers, though I will say that I am quite adept and choosing candy!

I will certainly pass your love along as soon as I post the letter. Just as well, give mine to our sisters at school with you. I cannot wait to join you all! How is school, though, Daffy? Has anything interesting happened? Now that I am thinking about it, who is this friend you wish to find presents for?
    Love,

    Dearest Lala,

You mean the Podmore Zoo, the one in Irvingly? I have yet to go, how exciting! How was it? I hear they have a winged tiger! I'm glad you weren't lost for too long, the poor governess! She's certainly earned her keep with you, she must be excited to have you off to Hogwarts in the fall, though I daresay you're her favorite anyway.

I would truly love your help at Honeydukes. One of my roommates has an upcoming birthday who I will be giving the sweets to. Come to think of it, I think I should do the little garden pot for my friend Miss Crawford, though I believe her birthday is not until next month. No bother, can always get a head start growing the flowers! She enjoys flowers as much as we do.

I believe we depart from the school around ten, I will meet you at Honeyduke's shortly after?

    Dahlia and Zin say hello!
    Fondly,
    Daff

    Daffy,

Yes, that one. It was really nice, I was slightly surprised. They had both magic and muggle animals, though the magical ones are warded from the muggles who live there. Every time we go to Irvingly it is always so strange to be around muggles. You have to watch what you say and do and the governess had to keep reminding me. We certainly are privileged to live in Hogsmeade where everyone is magical or knows of it. I couldn't imagine having to hide something that is such a part of our culture. I wonder how the muggle-borns do it when they visit family or go home?

No, no Daffy - I'm probably her least favorite, after all, I do cause her a fair bit of trouble on a regular base. You were all so much more well behaved than I, you said so yourself. I do feel bad for her, she had been with us so long now, and as soon as I go to Hogwarts, she will have to find a new post. I hope she can...

I will definitely help you then! Do you get along well with all of your roommates this year? I hope it is pleasant. Oh, I hope my roommates will be as nice as yours seem to be. You found someone who enjoys flowers as much as we do? I am shocked. Maybe you can bring her to the greenhouses one day at home! I'm sure that she would enjoy it.

That sounds well, Daffy! I shall meet you there, that Saturday!

Everyone at home says to say hello to you as well, and to Senna and Thistle as well!
    Love,
