Ophelia, of course, never missed a ball. Even with her own massive party lurking in the horizon, a mere two days away, she'd taken great care to ensure she looked her best for the Sandition Spring Fling ball; if she didn't, and Armando bothered to notice her distraction, he might become suspicious, and she didn't want him finding out about his surprise party now, when she'd kept the secret so well so far!
After her disastrous color changing dress at the Aphrodite Ball, Ophelia had seen no reason to risk any kind of color-changing charm today. Instead, she was clad in a dress of pale green chiffon, layered into a light, airy gown that made her feel like spring incarnate. The design was simple enough, but the dress itself was merely a canvas, for all along it Ophelia had charmed embroidered dark green vines, forming trails to magically affixed flowers. Mostly she'd used lilies, but a few other pale or white blooms were mixed in as well, and there was a whole array of flowers atop her head and mixed into her curls--something Perenia had been in no way thrilled about undertaking.
In any case, she thought she'd fit the theme rather well--not to mention, she looked beautiful. Now all that was left was to find herself a man to dance with.
The ballroom was still filling up (at least, Ophelia hoped this wouldn't be the sum total of guests for the evening), so that was actually a little more difficult than she might have imagined. She'd been walking in circles for five minutes and hadn't seen any particularly likely gents yet, and she was starting to feel a little awkward. "Oh, where's the champagne?" she lamented to no one in particular. At least then she could pretend she was doing something.
